Objective: In this study,3 treatments of exercise, massage chiropractic and combination of massage chiropractic with exercise therapy were taken to intervene with patients having non-specific low back pain(NLBP)to observe and evaluate the intervention effect of the combination of massage chiropractic with exercise therapy on NLBP and compare the difference in efficacy of the 3 treatments,so as to provide a reference for the clinical treatment of NLBP.Methods: 75 patients with NLBP meeting the inclusion criteria were divided into 3groups,Exercise group,Massage chiropractic group and Massage chiropractic + exercise group,25 patients in each group.Treatments were performed 3 times a week and once every other day for a total of 6 weeks.Separately before and after treatment, the VAS score,ODI score, the range of motion of lumbar vertebra, the physiological curvature value of lumbar vertebra, and efficacy index were measured and recorded.3 months of follow-up was performed after treatment for the recurrence rate statistics.Sorting data were carried out to analyze.Results:1.VAS scores: Compared with those before treatment,VAS of the Exercise group(9.96±9.25),Massage chiropractic group(11.03±13.16)and Massage chiropractic +exercise group(8.18±12.36)were all significantly lower after treatment(P <0.01).After treatment, the VAS of the Massage chiropractic + exercise group were significantly lower than those of the Massage chiropractic group and the Exercise groups(P <0.05);and there was no significant difference between the VAS of the Exercise group and the Massage chiropractic group(P <0.05).2.ODI scores: Compared with those before treatment, the ODI scores of the Exercise group(9.96±9.25),the Massage chiropractic group(11.03±13.16)and the Massage chiropractic + exercise group(8.18±12.36)were significantly lower after treatment(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in ODI score among the groups after treatment(P> 0.05).In terms of changes in various dimensions of ODI,when the Massage chiropractic + exercise group was compared with both the Exercise group and Massage chiropractic group, there was significant difference only in the dimension of ODI pain(P<0.05).3.Range of motion of lumbar vertebra: Compared with those before treatment, there were significant differences in the forward flexion, backward flexion, left flexion, left rotation and right rotation of the Exercise group, the Massage chiropractic group, and the Massage chiropractic + exercise group after treatment(P<0.01),and there were significant differences in right flexion after treatment(P <0.05).Compared with the Exercise group and the Massage chiropractic group, the Massage chiropractic + exercise group had very significant differences in forward flexion, backward flexion, left rotation, and right rotation(P<0.01),and there were significant differences in the left flexion and right flexion(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the Exercise group and the Massage chiropractic group after treatment(P> 0.05).4.Physiological curvature value of lumbar vertebra: Compared with those before treatment, the physiological curvature value of the lumbar vertebra of the Exercise group(11.80 ± 4.57),the Massage chiropractic group(11.40 ± 4.87),and the Massage chiropractic + exercise group(12.52±5.00)were significantly bigger after treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference among the 3 groups after treatment(P> 0.05).5.clinical efficacy and Recurrence rate: The efficacy in Exercise group,Massage chiropractic group and Massage chiropractic + exercise group were 92%,88% and 92%,respectively.There was no significant difference in clinical efficacy among the 3 groups(P> 0.05).The recurrence rate of the massage chiropractic + exercise group was significantly lower than that of the massage chiropractic group(P <0.05).The recurrence rate of the massage chiropractic group and the Massage chiropractic + exercise group were not significantly different from that of the Exercise group(P> 0.05).Conclusion:1.The combination of massage chiropractic with exercise therapy can significantly improve the pain and dysfunction of patients with NLBP,and can significantly improve the range of motion of lumbar vertebra, improve the physiological curvature of the lumbar vertebra with significant efficacy.2.VAS,the range of motion of lumbar vertebra in Massage chiropractic + exercise group was significantly better than those both in Exercise group and in the Massage chiropractic group. The recurrence rate in the Massage chiropractic + exercise group wassignificantly lower than that in the Massage chiropractic group. Therefore,it is recommended to further promote the combination of massage chiropractic and exercise therapy. |
