Objective To investigate the blood percentage of Serum uric acid,Uric acid / creatinine ratio,Sodium and High-density lipoprotein(HDL) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) patients with and without pulmonary hypertension(PH), and the clinical significance of PH associated with COPD.Methods From November 2014 to April 2015,120 patients with COPD at acute exacerbation were enrolled in the People's Hospital of Ningxia. The patients were divided into COPD with PH group and COPD without PH group according to the pulmonary artery systolic pressure(PASP)>50 mm Hg. 60 healthy persons were selected as control group at the same period. The Serum uric acid, creatinine ratio and HDL of three groups were detected by Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. To compare the levels of Serum uric acid, Uric acid /creatinine ratio, Sodium and HDL in three groups. To compare the levels of Blood Gas Analysis, Lung function and Echocardiographic indices between COPD with PH group and COPD without PH group. To analysis the correlation beween the Serum uric acid,Uric acid/creatinine ratio,Sodium,HDL and PASP,Right pulmonary artery diamete,Right ventricular diameter before and after,Right ventricular anterior wall thickness, Transverse diameter of the right atrium,Right atrial diameter from top to bottom respectively.Results1. The age, gender, body mass index(BMI), smoking index had no significant difference in COPD with PH group, COPD without PH group and control group(P>0.05).2. Serum uric acid and Uric acid/creatinine ratio in COPD with PH group and in COPD without PH group were higher than that in Healthy control group( P <0.01),Serum uric acid and Uric acid/creatinine ratio in COPD with PH group were higher than that in COPD without PH group( P <0.01);Sodium in COPD with PH group and in COPD without PH group was lower than that in Healthy control group( P <0.01),Sodium in COPD with PH group was lower than that in COPD without PH group( P <0.01); HDL in COPD with PH group and in COPD without PH group was lower than that in Healthy control group( P <0.01), HDL in COPD with PH group was lower than that in COPD without PH group( P <0.01).3.(1)Pa O2 in COPD with PH group was lower than that in COPD without PH group( P <0.05),Pa CO2 in COPD with PH group was higher than that in COPD without PH group( P >0.05);(2)FEV1,FEV1/FVC in COPD with PH group was lower than that in COPD without PH group( P >0.05);(3)PASP,Right pulmonary artery diamete,Right ventricular diameter before and after,Right ventricular anterior wall thickness,Transverse diameter of the right atrium and Right atrial diameter from top to bottom in COPD with PH group was higher than that in COPD without PH group( P <0.05) respectively.4. Correlation analysis in COPD with PH group:(1)Serum uric acid was positively correlated with PASP,Right ventricular diameter before and after,Right ventricular anterior wall thickness,Transverse diameter of the right atrium and Right atrial diameter from top to bottom respectively(r=0.383,r=0.497,r=0431,r=0.704,r=0.708,P<0.05);(2)Uric acid/ creatinine ratio was positively correlated with PASP,Right pulmonary artery diamete,Right ventricular diameter before and after,Right ventricular anterior wall thickness, Transverse diameter of the right atrium,Right atrial diameter from top to bottom respectively(r=0.244, r=0.358, r=0.357, r=0.330,r=0.386,r=0.342,P<0.05);(3)Sodium was negatively correlated with PASP,Right ventricular anterior wall thickness and Right atrial diameter from top to bottom respectively(r=-0.195,r=-0.349,r=-0.409,P<0.05);(4)HDL was negatively correlated with PASP,Right pulmonary artery diamete,Right ventricular diameter before and after, Right ventricular anterior wall thickness,Transverse diameter of the right atrium and Right atrial diameter from top to bottom respectively(r=-0.258, r=-0.465, r=-0.505, r=-0.391, r=-0.492, r=-0.491,P<0.05).ConclusionSerum uric acid was higher, serum sodium and HDL were lower in Patients with COPD related PH,which may be simple and available marker in patients with COPD related PH.
