Objective: To analysis the current status of diabetes patients daily taking medicine and check. To explore and understand diabetes network demand intention and its influencing factors for diabetes outpatients, and make a preliminary analysis of the feasibility of implement about a web-based prescription refill. To further investigate the general patients' part focus on a web-based prescription refill for providing the reference for the prevention and treatment for diabetes.Method: From November to December of 2014, We carried out a random questionnaire survey of 320 diabetes patients who just came to refill the prescription in Tianjin Medical University Metabolic Disease Hospital. There's 304 valid questionnaire responses being received at the end. Then, we anlysised the current status of patients taking medicine and check frenquency, and the demand and the feasibility of implement about a web-based prescription refill for diabetes patients. Results: Split-half reliability is 0.785 and Cronbach's alpha coefficient is 0.872 of the part which has more homogeneity and is Suitable for analysis of homogeneity, in Self-designed questionnaire. So the reliability of questionnaire is beter. We got 13 common factor though the factor analysis of all terms in the validity test about questionmaire, and the cumulative contribution rate is 71.17%.General conditions: The respondent consisted 50.99% of men and 49.01% of women, and the median age of the respondent is 60.97 years. Cultural degree mainly concentrated in the “middle school” and “high school or technical school” two categories. The middle school population accounts for 29.28% and the another one was 37.17%. Monthly family income per capita of 2000-2999 yuan accounts for44.74%, and 26.65% respondent's one is 3000-4999 yuan. There were 296 respondent being 2-diabetes mellitus which accounts for 97.37% of the total. The median of duration is 10 years. It's 2.60 hours that is the median of time consuming for completing a prescription refill in the hospital, and the quartile for P25 is 2.03 hours and P75 is 3.58 hours. The status of taking medicine and check: These people who have to refill go to the hospital for refilling prescreption less than 3 months account for 74.30% of the total number of respondent. There's only 15.96% diabetic patient needing to adjust the prescription less than half a year. 44.41% of patients need someone to accompany or replace for refilling prescription, but there's also 30.88% of respondent once meeting drug interruptions. For the “drug usage”, 80.59% of respondents said fully clear, but only 43.09% of the people fully clear for the "Notes on the drug". For the“recommended check interval time” only 2.00% showed clear completely. And for diabetic patients' daily refilling prescription and hospital review, there's 86.20% and85.90% of people choosing “level 3 or specialist hospital” respectively. The analysis about diabetic outpatients' demand intention and influence factors of a web-based prescription refill: The amount of respondents who chosen “very much expect” and “expect” for a web-based prescription refill is 174 and 103 persons respectively., and together they account for 91.12%. There's 27 persons choosing“Not interested”, “ less interest in” or “general espect” for it, and it was 8.88% of total respondents. 53.9% of patients are not satisfied for taking medicine process, and the total number is 164. 74.67% of respondents thought it's more convenient or very convenientto ask themselves or others to help operation of a computer network, and there's 237 respondents feeling unsatisfactory for the hospital's taking medicine process. For “to feel the way risk size”, only 2.63% of people think that the risk is bigger, and there's 264 respondents who accounted for 86.84% choosing very small or smaller. Only eight people think that the risk is very big or larger. Through the single factor analysis on the factors of general demographic characteristics of respondents, continue to check status and network availability of drugs which may affect patients with diabetes in the network of medicine demand, we find there are 3factors that they are “the clear degree of inspection interval recommended”, “the patients' satisfaction on the hospital getting medicine process at present” and “the convenient degree of themselves or asking others to help operation of a computer network” having statistic significance. It's statistically significent that are “the convenient degree of themselves or asking others to help operation of a computer network” and “the clear degree of inspection interval recommended” finally though doing logistic regression further, and their odds ratio are 4.642( 95%CI :1.978-10.893)and 4.978(95%CI:2.067-11.985)in turn.Patients' part focus on a web-based prescription refill: For “the form of a web-based prescription refill and an appointment to review ”, there were 48.66%respondents choosing using phone which is the most popular. The more popular form is the web-based clients that was chosen by 34.90% respondents. For “the function hoped of a web-based prescription”, 284 respondents hope “refilling prescription”mostly, then, in turn, they are “make an appointment of check”, “remind of refilling and review” and “Query past medical records and test results”, and the amount is 255,252 and 251 respectively. Conclusion: The current diabetes outpatient follow-up drug, which wastes much time and resources of doctors and patients, and the whole process of experience is not satisfactory for mass, brings a lot of inconvenience to patients and society. What's more, the patient is passive and there is hidden trouble in safety on drug using in the process of the diabetes drug treatment. However, diabetic patient has higher enthusiastic and Psychological acceptance on a web-based prescription refill, and there is a certain feasibility of implementation. The function of the system should be able to improve diabetes self health consciousness and self management level, and mobile phone text messages is able to play a better role in promoting its application. Finally it's the relevant service fees and the personal information security problem that is concerned by the majority of patients.
