Objective Review analysis to study the clinical features of different pathological types appendicitis. Guide the diagnosis and treatment of it.Methods Retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 684 cases of acute appendicitis in children during the period January 2010- January 2015 from General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University. Collecting items including: gender, nationality, age, season, onset time, appendix anatomical location, modified Alvarado score and postoperative complications. The data were analyzed using SPSS21.0 software.Results1. In 684 cases of pediatric patients with appendicitis,420 cases were male and 264 cases were female. The difference was statistically significant when different sex compared with different pathological type appendicitis.Han 470 cases, hui 198 cases. The difference was not obvious that different pathological type appendicitis compared with different nationalities.Newborns and infants 101 cases, pre-school 220 cases, primary school age 345 cases, adolescence group 18 cases. The difference was significant when different ages compared with different pathological type.Disease time: < 1d was 145 cases, 1-2d was 166 cases, 2-3d was 180 cases, >3d was 203 cases. The difference was significant when different disease time compared with different pathological type.morbidity season: Spring 152 cases, Summer 179 cases, Autumn 216 cases, Winter 137 cases. There was no statistical significance that different pathological type appendicitis compared with different season. The statistical significance was also not obvious that different pathological type appendicitis compared with different anatomical location.2. In the modified Alvarado score, simple appendicitis scored an average of 7.53 points, suppurative appendicitis scored an average of 8.78 points, gangrenous appendicitis scored 8.60 points. With 8 points as boundary values that sensitivity and specificity of modified Alvarado score predicts progression type appendicitis respectively was 81.6%, 80.7%.3. Traditional surgical treatment 567 cases, the difference was significant when different pathological type appendicitis compared with postoperative complications. Conclusion The appendix pathological type associated with gender, ages and disease time Modified Alvarado score preliminary judgment of the pathological classification is very important. The postoperative complications has a close relationship to pathological type.
