Adipose stem cells play an important function in the survival of adipose tissue, and they are rich in peripheral subcutaneous adipose tissue. Research has shown that the mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue can differentiate into endothelial cells. Indeed, fat vascularization is beneficial to early survival of fat transplantation.Objective: This study intends to explore the vasularization of autologous fat transplantation compounded with periostin, and try to find out the role of periostin in the survival rate of fat.Methods: First of all, we separate adipose stem cells from fat tissue obtained liposuction and try to identify its multi-directional differentiation potential. Secondly, we attempt to prove the special function of periostin in inducing adipose stem cells to blood vessels under hypoxia in vitro. Finally, the adipose tissue compounded with periostin was transplanted into nude mice, and the vascularization and the survival rate of the transplanted fat tissue was detected at different time points after transplantation.Results: Periostin composite with autologous fat showed a higher vascularization degree and a higher survival rate than the other groups. VEGF composite with autologous fat transplantation can promote vascularization, but the survival rate is lower than periostin groups. These two factors can both improve the survival rate of fat transplantation, which is better than simple autologous fat_ransplantation.Conclusion: Periostin is able to improve fat survivability under hypoxia during the early stage, and to promote the early stage vascularization of autologous fat granules after transplantation, which is beneficial to the survival of the transplanted fat tissue.
