Objectives: Though the health education on cardiac rehabilitation for patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) in community, discuss its effect on the patients ' knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation, self management ability and the risk factors of CHD to determine the effectiveness of the health education on cardiac rehabilitation and provide the basis for other communities. Methods: We extracted patients with CHD in Le Kai community, and divided them into education group and control group, with respectively 41 patients and 39 patients. Besides community health care services, we provided patients in education group with systematic health education on cardiac rehabilitation, including “I know the knowledge first.”?“ Diet has a principle”?“ Don't abuse drugs”?“ Set in motion”?“ To determine the quality of life”. And the educational patterns included home visiting, lectures, group discussions, and exercise instructions. We also gave out self-designed < cardiac rehabilitation health education handbook > for patients with CHD in rehabilitation group. Meanwhile, we provided non-intervention for control group besides community health care services. All participants were given criterion measures before and after the experiment, and the subjective indexes were measured by Coronary artery disease Self management Scale(CSMS) and the questionnaire on status of cardiac rehabilitation related information in patients with coronary heart disease, and the objective indexes included blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index(BMI), waist hip ratio(WHR), blood lipid and glycosylated hemoglobin. After completing the experiment, we established a database in the form of Excel to collect all the test results and analyzed them using SPSS16.0. The measurement data conforming with normal distribution were showed by mean±standard deviation and were compared between the two groups by the independent sample T test, while comparing the index in the same group should apply the paired sample T test. Difference form the normal distribution, the measurement data conforming with the skewed distribution were compared by the Rank sum test. And comparing the Count data between the two groups used the chi-square test.Results:1. Before the trial, the population sociology data and disease–related data between the two groups had no significant difference(P > 0.05), self–management ability and the patients ' knowledge on cardiac rehabilitation between the two groups had no significance(P>0.05), indicating they had a comparability.2. The patients' knowledge on cardiac rehabilitation: After the trial, the education group and control group got(74.88±5.38) and(28.03±7.28) respectively, the score of education group was increased significantly compared with that in control group(P<0.01); Self-comparison of the education group, the sore was obviously higher than that of pre-experiment after the health education, but, the score of the control group had no significant change.3. Self-management ability: After the trail, the education group got(96.68±6.01), and the control group got(58.87±5.67), the score of education group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.01); the sore was obviously higher than that of pre-experiment after the health education, however, the score of the control group had no significant change(P<0.01).The Coronary artery disease Self-management Scale included three sections: daily management, medical management, and emotional management; After the trial, the sore of the education group was obviously higher than that of the control group. Self-comparison of the education group, the scores of the three aspects were obviously higher than that of pre-experiment(P<0.01), but the score of the control group had no significant change before and after the intervention.4. After the trail, HDL-C was(1.77?0.30) in the education group, and(1.40?0.30) in the control group, it showed significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01); After the trail, blood glucose?very low density lipoprotein(VLDL)? glycosylated hemoglobin, all of which had a change of improvement, however, it had no statistical significance, other indicators had no significant difference between the education group and control group. Conclusions:This study adopted education activities of theme series, the contents were comprehensive and systematic, and combined with a variety of education form, and ensured that the patients with coronary heart disease received cardiac rehabilitation education regularly and guide, finally effectively improved the status of cardiac rehabilitation related information and improved the cardiac rehabilitation self-management ability; To some objective indicators of cardiovascular risk factors, in addition to the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol that has a significantly improvement, other indicators had no significant difference due to short intervention time. Furthermore, in order to achieve improvement significantly, keep the supervision of patients or give them further intervention, It will be the important research content in the future.
