[Objective]Introducing the concept of Health Quotient (HQ) into the health education and making corresponding health education plan for patients who have coronary artery disease after coronary intervention. And observing the effects on self-management behaviors of those patients. In order to improve the prognosis of coronary intervention in patients with coronary heart disease.[Methods]1. Based on analysis of the concept of Health Quotient, combining with coronary interventionaleatment related guidelines and The relevant health education practice, building a new health education draft in patients who have coronary artery disease after coronary intervention.the new health education draft is characterized by Targeted, scientific nature, the entire, comprehensiveness, and sociality. Modifying the content of the draft after two rounds of Cardiovascular specialists’consultation. Finally, the health education based on the concept of Health Quotient for patients who have coronary artery disease after coronary intervention was established.2. Experimental study was used to design this research.83 patients who have coronary artery disease after the coronary intervention were selected for the study by convenient sampling from a level 3 hospital in Hangzhou. They were assigned into two groups (control group and treatment group). The control group (44 patients) was given traditional health education for 12 weeks. The treatment group (39 patients) was given health education based on the HQ for 12 weeks. The intervention group was tested with the health quotient test, and recieved the specific health education which was based on the test result, the process of health education follows the Cognitive behavior Theory. Data collection was based on the three timing points:the day when the patients became subjects,2 weeks after the patients became subjects and 12 weeks later after the he patients to be subjects. The instrument is Coronary heart disease self-management scale. SPSS 20 is used to analyze the data, test level is 0.05.[Results]After the health education, the total scores of the self-management of patients in the two groups are statistical significance(P<0.05). Firstly, the total scores of the self-management behavior of treatment group higher than control group after intervention(P<0.05). Secondly, the total scores of the emotion cognitive management of treatment group higher than control group after intervention(P<0.05). Thirdly, the total scores of the daily life management of treatment group higher than control group after intervention(P<0.05).Finally,the total scores of the disease medical management of treatment group higher than control group after intervention(P<0.05)[Conclusions]To a certain extent, the health education which is based on the concept of health quotient could improve self-management behavior of patients after the coronary intervention and which could be regarded as an effective way to take care of those patients. Comparing to traditional health education, the health education based on the HQ can have a better effect on the patients who have coronary artery disease after coronary intervention. And the patients are more actively involved in self-management.So, the prognosis of coronary intervention in patients with coronary heart disease can be improved.
