Treatment Of Distal Femoral Fractures By MIPPO Technology With The Less Invasive Stabilization System (LISS)

Objective:To explore the clinical result of fixation on the distal femur fractureby the MIPPO Technology with LISS,and to analyze the relate factors during theoperation.Methods:Fromsep 2013 to oct 2015 by shandong university of traditionalChinese medicine hospital orthopedic patients with distal femoral fractures treated 30 cases, 9 cases of male and female 21 cases. According to the AO classificationstandard, 10 cases of type A, type B 6 cases, 14 cases of C type. All patients weretreated within 2 weeks after injury, the MIPPO technology for small incisionreduction, the vastuslateralis muscle between the periosteum and insert the LISS steel plate fixation. By observing the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, fracturehealing time, and according to HSS knee joint function score, for patients to evaluate curative effect of knee joint function.Results:Postoperative follow-up of 6 to 14 months, an average of 10 months, allfractures were healed, the distal femoral fracture type and operation time, blood loss,healing time differences statistically significant(P < 0.05). For postoperative 3months, 6 months and 12 months of three groups of HSS knee joint functionassessment have obvious difference(P < 0.05). There were 19 excellent and 8 goodand 2 acceptable and 1 poor,the good-excellent rate were 90.0%. All of the patientswithout plate, screw fracture, and infection occurred.Conclusions:The combination of MIPPO technology LISS steel plate treatmentof distal femur, can protect the periosteum and blood supply of the fracture positions,promote healing of fracture, has small trauma, fixed reliable, early functional exercise,can the advantages of less complications. Use of LISS for distal femoral fractures hasa satisfied curative effect, provides a new choice for clinical treatment.
