Objective: To make an observation of the clinical effect of treating CHF with Yiqi Quyu Decoction. At the same time, to explore its mechanism in the application.Methods: Randomly decided 60 patients into 2 groups, who all met the diagnostic and inclusion criteria. Each group had 30 cases, and was named treatment group and control group. Patients in control group were treat with western standard medicine, while patients in treatment group with western standard medicine and Yiqi Quyu Decoction. Treatment cycle period was 28 days. We recorded and compared the New York Heart Association, NT-proBNP, LVEF, distance in 6-minute walking and Chinese medicine syndrome scores at the beginning and the end. At last, date were analyzed via SPSS17.0.Result: The 2 groups could both improve the heart function rating, but treatment group which was 100% effective was better than control group(P<0.05). The 2 groups reduced NT-proBNP, increased LVEF and distance in 6-minute walking test(P<0.01). But the treatment group was better than another one(P<0.05). For the TCM therapeutic evaluation, the total score of TCM Syndrome reduced both in the 2 group, while the treatment group was more significant(P<0.05). Every symptoms was better than before in the 2 group. Expect for the dry-mouth symptoms, every symptoms improved better in treatment group and had statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion: Yiqi Quyu Decoction had significant effect and security in treating CHF of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis type. It could not only improve indicators of heart functions, but also symptoms of patients.
