Clinical Studies On Treatment Of Apoplexy Spastic Hemiplegia With Wenyang-tongluo-tang

Objective:Clinical selection of meet the inclusion criteria ofApoplexy Spastic Hemiplegia(ASH) patients, were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group and contrast group. The treatment group was givenWenyang-tongluo-tang(WTT) based on the conventional foundation treatment. The contrast group was given conventional foundation treatment only. Comparing was given to investigate the effectiveness of WTT. The advantages of WTT was discussed in this paper. Experiments show that WTT has significant effect on clinical application.Methods:Those 106 ASH patients with yang deficiency syndrome, who had been chosen into this clinical research, were divided into two groups at random: the treatment group and the contrast group, each group had 53 cases.Because of shedding cases, the actual number of the treatment group is 51, and 50 for the contrast group. Patients of contrast group simply took the basis of modern medical treatment; Patients of treatment group took the WTT, adding the basis of modern medical treatment which is decocted in water for oral dose, once a day; The therapeutic course was 8 weeks for both two groups. Observing the clinical symptoms including degree of spasticity, neurological symptoms, disability degree, daily life ability and evaluation of safety before and after the treatment. All kinds of observing data was analysed to show the effectiveness of WTT.Results:The degree of spasticity, neurologic impairment, disability degree and the ability of daily life for the patients of the treatment group were improved better than that of the contrast group. It shows that WTT has significant improvements and not increased medication risk.Conclusions:WTT has an obvious effect on treatment of apoplexy spastic hemiplegia. It can promote the recovery of affected limb, reduce the disability degree and improve their ability of daily life.
