Objective: In 150 cases of patients with idiopathic facial paralysis by clinical epidemiological investigation and research, aims to explore the correlation between incidence and TCM Syndromes of the disease and depression, for the clinical treatment of the disease and provide theoretical guidance.Methods:According to epidemiological methods randomly selected 150 cases of idiopathic facial paralysis patients, collecting basic information of the patients and related TCM symptom information, to recall as a point in time forward memory within a week of emotional state, and Hamilton Depression scale test, truthfully fill out the life event scale, get 121 cases of depression based on the state of the idiopathic facial paralysis patients from 150 patients. The 121 cases of patients with general information and test results of induction results using SPSS17.0 statistical factor analysis, summarized the correlation of idiopathic facial paralysis onset, related factors, type of syndromes of TCM and TCM syndrome types and depression.Results:In patients with prior to the onset of exist for different degrees of negative events adverse mental stimulation, there is depressed, loss of interest and energy loss, loss of appetite, slow thinking, social disorder and sleep disorders and other symptoms, and the occurrence of the disease have certain correlation.According to the factor analysis of the 4 common factors, the characteristics of the idiopathic facial nerve paralysis are summed up in four TCM syndromes. The degree of depression of different genders, occupations and education level of patients has the difference, but the correlation is not high: there was no significant difference between patients with depression of different duration and age.Conclusion: Through this topic research we found that depressive state of patients with facial paralysis and occupation, gender and intelligent factors have a certain relationship. Atthe same time, women, high degree of intelligence, knowledge workers of facial paralysis degree of depression in patients with relatively heavy.
