Objective To investigate the prevalence of depression and anxiety among HIV/AIDS outpatients in Changsha, to explore the influencing factors of depression and anxiety, and provided valuable informations for taking effective intervention measures to improve patients’ psychological problems and compliance of antiviral treatment, the quality of life and the service of clinical medical personnel.Methods 360 HIV/AIDS outpatients were invited to attend a cross-sectional survey at the first hospital of Changsha from June 15 th to December 27 th 2015. The SDS questionnaire(SDS score greater than or equal to 50 points) and SAS questionnaire(SAS score greater than or equal to 50 points) were used to screen, and psychological CT was used to confirmed the depression and anxiety. The self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the influencing factors of depression and anxiety. The influencing factors were calculated by the multivariate logistic analysis method. The relationship between the risk and protective factors and depression, anxiety was evaluated by adjusted odds ratio(OR) and 95%confidence intervals(95% CI).Results Of all, 92 patients were considered to depressive symptoms with preliminary screening(25.56%) and 56 patients were diagnosed with depression(15.56%), 1 patients was diagnosed with mourning reaction. 72 patients were considered to anxiety symptoms withpreliminary screening(20.00%), 34 patients were diagnosed with anxiety(9.44%). In this study the depression and anxiety were dependented variables, The possible influencing factors were independented variables.Influencing factors were calculated by the unconditional Logistic regression analysis method, and multivariates analysis was used for the statistical significant variables in single variate analysis. The influencing factors of depression in those HIV /AIDS patients include: HIV related disease in nearly three months, self-reported health status, AIDS related stigma and discrimination experience. The HIV related disease in nearly three months, AIDS related stigma and discrimination experience were the risk factors for depression in those HIV/AIDS patients. The good or very good self-reported health status was the protective factors for depression in those HIV/AIDS patients. The influencing factors of anxiety in those HIV /AIDS patients include: HIV related disease in nearly three months and AIDS related stigma and discrimination experience, all of them were the risk factors for anxiety in those HIV/AIDS patients.Conclusion It should be pay attention that the prevalence of depression and anxiety among HIV/AIDS outpatients in Changsha were significantly higher than the general population. And the psychological intervention strategies for the high-risk groups of depression and anxiety,and psychological care for HIV/AIDS patients should be strengthen.
