| Objective To discuss the efficacy and safety of using flexible ureteroscope treating the stent difficultly removed that caused by mural calculi.Methods Retrospective analysis of 8 cases in our hospital from May 2012 to May 2015,whose stent difficult to remove for stent mural calculi,all cases were unilateral stent retention;5 cases of stent retention on the left,4 males,1 female;3 cases of stent retention on the right,all were femal,stent indwelling time of 3 to 90 months.KUB and CT clearly shows the 8 patients were full stent mural calculi formation,5 patients with conventional indwelling stent after kidney lithotripsy by flexible ureteroscope,2 patients with indwelling stent because of hydronephrosis caused by abdominal tumor,1 patient with indwelling stent after cutaneous ureterostomy for Radical cystectomy.All cases were treated with flexible ureteroscope,statistical analysis of the postoperative complications,summary of surgical skills and experience,evaluate its efficacy and safety.Results All stents of eight patients of the study were all successfully pulled out aftermural calculus smashed under the operation of flexible ureteroscope,the operation time was 65 ~ 115 min.7 patients had a successfully one-stage operation smashed mural calculus and pulled the stranded stents out,1case had a difficulty to smash all mural calculi and pull the stent out with a one-stage operation because large volume of the mural calculi and the stone hardness was bigger in renal pelvis,during the first stage operation a new stent was given to ensure the drainage after part of mural calculi was smashed, and one week later with the second stage operation successfully smashed the mural calculi and pulled the stranded stent out.The operation procedure of 8 patient went smooth,no intraoperative ureteral injury and no serious perioperative complications.Conclusion Flexible ureteroscope is a safe and effective treatment on treating the stent difficultly to remove caused by the mural calculi. |
