Objective: Analyse the clinical effects of different treatment after the floating shoulder injury,according to the clinical observation.Method: From January 2013 to June 2015,the hospital receives and cures 15 floating shoulders injury.Among these,there were twelve cases of interrupt clavicle fracture and/or scapula fracture.Three cases interrupted by conservative treatment.Results: All of the cases were followed for 11 to 20 months with an average of 15 months.All the patients were healed and had good shoulder function.According to Herscovici score standard,These patients showed 12 excellent cases(80.0%),good 3 cases(20%),fair 0 cases,and poor in 0 cases.In one patient occured complication,deltoid muscle strength decrease.No infections,joints stiff,union delayed,internal fixation fracture or shifting occurred.The average healing time of all the clavicle/ scapular fractures was eight weeks.Conclusion: The clinical outcomes of the operative treatment after the floating shoulder injury is satisfactory.Using reconstruction plate for clavicle fracture and scapula fracture simultaneous,the patients could have early phase upper limb function exercise,which can obtain rehabilitation the function of the shoulder girdle.
