The Clinical Analysis Of Eight Cases Of Floating Shoulder

Objective:To analyse the clinical effects of different fixation methods in the clavicle fracture comparatively,according to the clinical observation after the floating shoulder operation.Method:From September2009to September2011, the hospital receives and cures12floating shoulders injury。Among these, there were8cases of interrupt clavicle fracture scapula fracture, and the8patients were assigned to two groups (n=4each). In one group(A group), clavicle fracture was given the double-threaded hollow screw fixation,and the other of reconstruction plate fixation(B group), all the scapula fracture of the two groups was treated with reconstruction plate.Results:Eight of the cases were followed for6to24months with an average of15months. All the patients were healed and had good shoulder function. According to Herscovici core standard, A group showed4excellent cases (100%), good0cases, ofair0cases, and poor in0cases. excellent rate of100%of total, while the B group showed2excellent cases (50%), good1cases(25%), ofair1cases, and poor in0cases.The postoperative complications mainly includes deltoid muscle strength decrease,and lease has poor shoulder outreach. No infections、joints stiff、union delayed、internal fixation fracture or shifting occurred. The average healing time of using double ends compressive screws for clavicular fracture was8weeks, and9.5weeks of using reconstruction plate. The average healing time of all the scapular fractures was eight weeks.Conclusion:Compared with the traditional internal fixation, the double-threaded hollow screw had the advantages of a pressure of the fracture site, less soft tissue dissection, simply and easy intra-operative operation and the early tiny movement character of the fracture site, so the the patients could have early upper limb function exercise, and the operation time and the healing time of fracture were shorten significantly.
