Objective: Lumbar disc herniation is a frequently occurring disease which affects people's life and work seriously as well as results waist disease and(or) lower limbs sciatica. Its etiology results from the lumbar disc degeneration together with the external force and a variety of internal and external factors, such as cold and dampness. It has the characteristics of relapse frequently and painfully. With the improve of living and accelerating pace of work and life, together with people's tendency to erratically diet as well as greasy food. More and more people suffer from lumbar disc herniation. The disease becomes younger in average age, which brings huge burden on both individuals and his or her family. Therefore, this disease should be given more attention. Currently, there are two treating methods: surgical therapy and conservative therapy. Due to the big risk, huge trauma as well as vast expense, surgical therapy is not widely accepted by most people. The long-term effect is not clear and relapse rate remains high. That's why, increasingly, patients choose conservative therapy. In conservative treatment, traditional Chinese medicine has the advantages of low cost, less pain, curative effect. By the guidance of TCM theory and the cooperation, two groups of patients with syndrome of lumbar disc and patients with prolapsed are treated in Hebei Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The research is designed through the observation of two groups of patients' score change of JOA and VAS before and after treatment, explore and verify the clinical effect of qing bi decoction in the treatment of the lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion, showing a powerful support to the effect and the indications of the medicine. Methods: From September 2014 to September 2015, several patients with lumbar disc herniation were chosen from Orthopedics of Hebei Province Traditional Chinese Medicine in line with uniform diagnostic criteria, including criteria and exclusion criteria, by checking the random number table, were randomly divided into two groups. There are 70 patients participating the research including 35 patients in the experimental group as well as 35 patients in the control group. The control group received single intravenous infusion therapy: 0.9% sodium chloride injection of 250 ml added rabbit skin inflamed by vaccinia virus extract injection(TU then applicable) 10.8 u intravenously once a day; 0.9% sodium chloride injection 250 ml added Xueshuantong injection(lyophilized) 450 mg intravenously once a day. 7 days was a course of treatment, 3 courses totally. Experimental group, on the basis of the medicine using in control group, adds service Qingbi Decoction once a day: decoction juice 500 ml, in the morning and evening half an hour after the meal. It must be warmed before drinking. The basic composition of Qingbi Decoction was as follows: Wheeling Sin 15 g, Angelica 10 g, pregnant Achyranthes 20 g, Coix 30 g, Poria 10 g, Treats 10 g, red peony root 20 g, Polygalaceae 10 g, Shichangpu 12 g, Corydalis 20 g, 12 g black snake Zhigancao 6 g. Provided by the hospital pharmacy. Dampness partial winner could increase the amount or give Poria papaya, papaya had dampness Shujin role; heat evil partial winner, plus flavescens, skullcap, whichever was heat and dampness effect; both signs of bleeding, plus peach kernel, safflower, whichever circulated collaterals, blood analgesic effect, both liver and kidney deficiency, could be yin or yang and medication as appropriate. 7 day a course of treatment, a total of 3 courses of treatment. Two groups of patients, during treatment, were required lying Banchuang back muscle function and proper exercise. Detailed records of basic information gender, age, duration and other groups of patients before and after treatment, JOA score and VAS score, the two groups' indexes were recorded using SPSS 21.0 for statistical analysis, and to determine its efficacy based on efficacy standards.Result:1 The age, body weight and postmenopausal years between two groups had no significant difference before treatment(P>0.05);2 JOA and VAS visual analogue scale difference before treatment between two groups had no significant difference before treatment(P>0.05);3 The JOA scores of the control group and the experimental group significantly drop up; After treatment, JOA scores [(22.23±3.228)than that(24.51±2.594)] by the statistical test after treatment had significant difference( P<0.01);4 The VAS scores of the control group and the experimental group significantly drop down; After treatment, VAS scores [(2.83 ± 1.124) than that(1.26 ± 0.852)] by the statistical test after treatment had significant difference( P<0.001);5 In the control group after treatment: 6 cases were cured, 12 cases were markedly effective, 11 cases were effective, and 6 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 82.86%; experimental group after treatment: cured 14 cases, 15 cases were markedly effective, 4 cases were effective, 2 cases were ineffecyive, the total effective rate was 94.29%, total effective rate after treatment had significant difference( P<0.01).Conclusion: The two treatment methods can improve JOA score and VAS visual analogue scale. Compared with the control group, the experimental group has the better efficiency. Through comparative analysis of all relevant data shows: Qingbi decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of heat lumbar disc herniation in patients with clear clinical efficacy. Qingbi decoction is the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine as a guide, with heat and dampness, promoting blood circulation analgesic effect, internal able to spleen and stomach, gluten bone health, in tune organs; Foreign can heat and dampness dispelling, evil out. With symptomatic, shujin tongluo pain can be decreased. Qingbi Decoction placid nature, both inside and outside, more effective, it has some clinical value.
