Object:By comparison of the the clinical efficacy and safety of posterolateral endoscopic spine YESS(Yeung endoscopy spine system) technique and TESSYS(transforaminal endoscopic spine system) technique in the treanment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH) secondary lumbar spinal stenosis(LSS),to provide clinical evidence for the use of posterolateral endoscopic spine in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation secondary lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods:Included 90 patients of lumbar disc herniation secondary lumbar spinal stenosis from December 2013 to March 2015 in our hospital by uniform standards. The 90 patients were divided into YESS group and TESSYS group, each group of 45 cases.Collect the preoperative and 3, 6 and 12 months postoperative Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and 0swestry disability index(ODI) scores, operation time, the number of cases nerve roots revealed, the number of patients need pain treatment, MacNab excellent rate of final follow-up and Complications, comprehensive analysis the clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups. Results:Postoperative VAS and ODI scores of two groups showed significant reduction compared with preoperative scores(P < 0.05);TESSYS group decreased more significantly than YESS group(P<0.05). At the final follow-up, according to the modified MacNab criteria to evaluate the efficacy:in the YESS group, 8 cases were excellent(17.78%), 22 cases were good(48.89%), 11 cases were fair(24.44%),4cases were poor(8.89%), the excellent and good rate was 66.67%(30/45);in the TESSYS group, 15 cases were excellent(33.33%), 25 cases were good(55.56%), 4cases were fair(8.89%),1 cases were poor(2.22%), the excellent and good rate was88.89%(40/45);the excellent and good rates of TESSYS group is higher than YESS group(P<0.05). There were no serious complications in the two groups. Conclusion:The posterolateral endoscopic spine YESS technique and TESSYS technique for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation secondary lumbar spinal stenosis is safe, effective. TESSYS technique has higher efficacy than YESS technique.
