Study Of The Impact Of Modified Wuhu Zhuifeng Powder On Symptoms,serum Iron And Serum Uric Acid In Different Syndromes Of Parkinson's Disease

Objective: To investigate the impact of the modified Wuhu Zhuifeng powder on serum iron and serum uric acid in different syndromes of Parkinson's patients.Methods: 120 cases of Parkinson patients who were recruited during August 2013 to September 2015 in the neurology and geriatrics department of the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi university of Chinese medicine were randomly divided into 2 groups.The control group of 60 cases was treated with Benserazide tablets alone.Treatment group of 60 cases was treated with Wuhu Zhuifeng powder combined with Benserazide tablets.Two groups were treated for 3 months.The TCM syndrome score,modified Hoehn &Yahr rating scale(H-Y),unified Parkinson's disease rating scale(UPDRS),life satisfaction(LSIB)score,Parkinson's quality of life scale(PDQ-39),serum iron and uric acid level were recorded before and after treatment.Results:(1)Comparison of TCM syndrome score: TCM syndrome score of two groups had declined significantly after treatment(P<0.01),furthermore,the treatment group are better than control group;(2)Comparison of modified Hoehn &Yahr rating scale: The scores of the two groups before and after treatment were not significantly changed(P>0.05);(3)Comparison of UPDRS: The spirit,behavior and emotional integration and daily activity points,and motor function scores of two groups had been improved compared with before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the UPDRS of the treatment group improved significantly compared with the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Comparison of LSIB and PDQ-39 scores: The two groups were better than before treatment(P<0.01 or P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).(5)Serum iron level: There was no significant change in serum iron level before and after treatment in two groups(P>0.05).(6)Serum uric acid level: The serum uric acid level of different syndromes of two groups was statistically significant after treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01);The serum uric acid level of thermal wind syndrome,blood stasis dynamic wind syndrome,liver and kidney deficiency syndrome of treatment group after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05)compared with control group with the same syndromes;There were no significant differences(P>0.05)of serum uric acid levels in Qiand blood deficiency syndrome,yin and yang deficiency syndrome of two groups after treatment.Conclusion:Modified Wuhu Zhuifeng powder combined with Benserazide tablets could play a role of improving the symptoms' score,movement and common non motor symptoms with Parkinson's disease and promoting the serum uric acid level of thermal wind syndrome,blood stasis dynamic wind syndrome and liver and kidney deficiency syndrome;Which provided good clinical curative effect and deserves further study.
