Objective:Through the clinical observation about the recovery of tibial plateau fracture postoperative fracture healing and knee joint function by herbal oral administration and fumigation, which is in order to explore the mechanism and function on herbal in the treatment of tibial plateau fracture and the prevention of postoperative complications. Methods:We select 60 patients who were diagnosed by tibial plateau fractures and treated in our hospital from July 2013 to August 2015. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group of 30 cases, including 36 males and 24 females, whose age were from 20 to 62 years old and average age was 43.1years.According to Schatzker classification, these patients included 6 cases of type I and type II 13 cases, type III in 21 cases, 5 cases of type IV, 8 cases of type V and 7 cases of VI type. After operation, the treatment group was treated by Herbal oral administration and fumigation, and the control group was treated with routine treatment. Patients were followed up for 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks and 20 weeks after operation by herbal oral administration, then comparing the two groups' fracture callus density and fracture healing time. The VAS pain score and the activity degree of knee joint were observed after the treatment of Herbal fumigation. The HSS score of the knee joint was compared after 6 months. The results were statistically analyzed. Results:By following up the 60 cases of patients after operation, which is to determine fracture healing information through the postoperative X-ray observation of callus and fracture line fuzzy degree. VAS pain score, knee activity score and HSS comprehensive score were used to evaluate the recovery of knee function after operation.1. Analysis about the results of two groups of postoperative radiographs of callus and fracture lines showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in X-ray bone callus density. But there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2. Comparison of average healing time of two groups of patients with fracture:The average healing time was 16.42±1.32 weeks in the treatment group. The average healing time was 18.34±1.41 weeks in the control group. But there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).3. Comparison of VAS pain scores after operation between the two groups: The difference was not statistically significant, but the pain relief rate in the treatment group was better than the control group.4. Comparison of scores of postoperative knee activitives in two groups: The recovery of knee joint mobility in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).5. Comparison of HSS comprehensive score of two groups of patients after operation: The excellence rate of the treatment group was 96.7%. The excellence rate of the control group was 73.3%.The excellence rate of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chinese medicine Jieguxujin oral liquid has a certain role on promoting fracture healing. It can promote the repair of soft tissue and the growth of callus after tibial plateau fracture. It can shorten the time of fracture healing, and probably reduce the occurrence of fracture delayed union or nonunion. After the operation, the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation can relieve the pain after operation of the knee joint, promote the functional recovery of the knee joint stiffness, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and improve the quality of life of patients.
