ObjectiveAlong with the development of computer technology and the applications of multimedia,the fashion of traditional teaching is changing corresponding.The application of multimedia in class is prevalence and there are course types and study information abundant in resources on Internet.All of these are factors promoting the quality of modern education.In order to suit the demand of modern education,creating examination paper with different form and different content by computer,decreasing the false of teacheres,increasing the equity of examination,achieving the separation of exams and teaching in deed,To establish intelligence item bank system of Health Statistics to adapt multi-level teaching needs of assessment is important.MethodsSubjects are chosen from public health statistics,guide book of public health statistics,medical statistics,preventive medicine and so on.Each subject contains characteristic such as subject type,chapter,principal point and difficulty coefficient.These subjects are input access datebase with characteristic.Choosing Microsoft Access 2000 to establish database,Microsoft Visual Basic is used as expolder to manage the database.Appling access database to create item bank of Health Statistics,appling Visual Basic(VB)and Structured Query Language(SQL)to achieve the management of item bank and the implementation of test-papers.The system can use genetic algorithm to generate and print test papers.At last subjects-repeat and test papers inteqrity are evaluated.ResultsAlong with the establishion of health statistics intelligence item bank,575 subjects has been collected and input to the public health statistics database,containing 160 noun explain subjects(27.83%),102 true-false subjects(17.74%),216 single choice subjects(37.57%),61 short answer items(10.61%),25 problem solvings(4.38%),11 analysis subjects(1.91%).All of hese sbujects are input with subject type,chapter,principal point and difficulty coefficient.Adding interference options of single choice subject,the system can generate single choice subject with the true option and other interference options selected by random;adding the raw data of problem solvings subjects,the system can generate problem solvings subject with different data selected by random.With the amending and consummation of database,the system can be used to manage the database(containing modification,addition and deletion);and can be used to query subjects by subject type,chapter,principal point and difficulty coefficient;can be used to create examation papers by different forms.Appling manual and automatic test paper of this system,test papers can be requested by teachers to achieve a variety of different forms of examination papers.100 test papers are generated by this system(each test paper contains 10 noun explain subjects,10 true-false subjects,10 single choice subjects,4 short answer items,2 problem solvings and 1 analysis subject).It is revealled that the sujects-repeat are 6.25 in noun explain subjects,0.08 in single choice subjects,9.80 in true-false subjects,6.56 in short answer items,0.00 in problem solvings and 9.09 in analysis subject.Input parameters to limit the test paper,the system can generate the test paper inteqrity 100%.The system can be renewaled with the access database renewalles corresponding.Conclusion:The health statistics intelligence item bank Intelligence item bank can be managed easily and operated simply.Teacher can manage it without complicated teaching;it can create examation papers in different forms especialy for the subjects of choosing and the subjects of calculation,test papers can be requested by teachers to achieve a variety of different forms of examination papers;the renewal of this system is rapidness,which can satisfy the need of modern education.The database can be input,changed,deleted by the technology of Access database.100 test papers has been generated.The single choice subjects repeat are 4.63 by random and 0.08 by genetic glgorithm;The problem solvings repeat are 8.00 by random and 0.00 by genetic glgorithm.The health statistics intelligence item bank can be achieved the diversification questions,and can be used for other disciplines.
