Part 1 Feasibility study on the application of medical mobile phone software in postoperative follow-up of double eyelid surgery patientsObjective: To compare the difference in follow-up mode selection by double eyelid surgery patients and analyze the reasons. To evaluate the differences in age, education level, average daily mobile phone usage, and average daily Internet usage between patients with medical mobile-phone-software follow-up and with outpatient follow-up. Methods: A total of 102 patients with incision double eyelid surgery admitted between November 2014 and November 2015 in Department of Plastic Surgery, Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences & Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital were followed. Patients choose their own way by the use of medical mobile phone software or an outpatient follow-up. In total, we collected 81 cases in the mobile phone software follow-up group, including 2 males and 79 females, aged 16-37 years old with the average of 24, as group A. There were 21 cases in the outpatient follow-up group including 0 male and 21 females, aged 16-40 years old with the average of 25, as group B. The differences in age, education level, average daily mobile phone usage, and average daily Internet usagebetween A and B were compared. Survey results were statistically analyzed using SPSS19.0 software. Results: 1 ? During the 102 patients with double eyelid surgery,81 patients select phone software for follow-up, and the remaining 21 patients select outpatient follow-up. 2?Eyelid surgery patients aged 16-30 years old accounted for 84.3%. 3?The ?2 value of two groups on the age, education level, average daily mobile phone usage, and average daily Internet usage were 0.736,0.739,2.415,and2.226, with the corresponding P value were 0.865,0.946,0.491,and0.339, all were greater than 0.05. There were no significant differences in age, education level, average daily mobile phone usage, and average daily Internet usage between the two groups of mobile phone software and outpatient follow-up. That the patients' selection of follow-up mode was not affected by age, education level, average daily mobile phone usage, and average daily Internet usage. Conclusions: 1?The age of patients with double eyelid surgery was relatively concentrated in the stage of16-30 years old; 2 ? Compared to the outpatient follow-up, eyelid surgery patients were more likely to choose the medical-mobile-phone-software follow-up. Application of medical mobile phone software for follow-up maybe a new trend in postoperative follow-up of cosmetic surgery in the future; 3?The patients' selection of follow-up mode was not affected by age, education level, average daily mobile phone usage, and average daily Internet usage.Part 2 Acceptance study on the application of medical mobile phone software in postoperative follow-up of double eyelid surgery patientsObjective: To investigate the willingness of double eyelid surgery patients to accept the follow-up by using medical mobile phone software instead of outpatient follow-up. Methods: A total of 102 patients with incision double eyelid surgery were collected between November 2014 and November 2015 in Department of Plastic Surgery, Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences &Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital. Patients choose their own way by the use of medical mobile phone software or an outpatient follow-up after full communication. We randomly selected 20 patients from the mobile phone software follow-up group, including 0 male and 20 females, aged 16-36 years old with the average of 25, as group C. After a 3-month follow-up of group C using mobile phone software, we investigated the patients with a questionnaire and analyzed the results. Results:1 ? All patients were willing to feedback recovery to the doctor in charge through the way of uploading photos and filling in the questionnaire, and contacted with the doctor in charge in time withmobile phone software; 2 ? All patients considered mobile phone software follow-up saving time and costs than traditional outpatient follow-up; 3 ?Ninety-five percent of the patients indicated that they learned the knowledge of rehabilitation which they wanted through the mobile phone software;4 ? All patients would choose the way of medical mobile application follow-up in the future treatment. Conclusions: 1?Patients were willing to feedback information to the doctor with medical mobile phone software,as well as contacting with the doctor in charge. 2?Patients considered mobile phone software follow-up saving time and costs than traditional outpatient follow-up. 3?Patients learned the knowledge of rehabilitation after surgery which they wanted through the mobile phone software. 4?Patients were willing to choose mobile application follow-up in the future treatment. The above results showed that the patients of double eyelid surgery have high acceptance with the way of mobile application follow-up.Part 3 Comparative with Outpatient follow-up and mobile application follow-up after double eyelid plastyObjective: Indexes such as the lost rate of follow-up, average times of follow-up, average time of follow-up after taking out stitches, average costs of follow-up after taking out stitches, communication times of postoperativepatients and doctor in charge, the postoperative patients' level of rehabilitation knowledge and the Patients' satisfaction were compared between Outpatient follow-up and mobile application follow-up in three months of Postoperative, and analyze the reasons for the differences.
