The Evaluation On Promoting-pregnancy Effect Of Female Patients With IVF-ET Failure Treated By TCM Multi-ways Therapy

[Objective]This study selected the patients whom the IVF-ET did not work on in West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University (West China Women's and Children's Hospital of Sichuan University) Reproductive Center, and those patients had kidney deficiency and liver qi stagnation with blood stasis syndrome. They were grouped randomly in single-blind way and treated by different TCMs with multi-interventions. By comparing the treatment groups (duplex treatment group and triple treatment group) with the control group, and before treatment with after treatment in all the groups, evaluations on the progestational efficiency of the TCM multi-ways interventions in the patients whom the IVF-ET did not work on can be made objectively; by comparing the difference of progestational efficiency between the duplex therapy and the triple therapy those two different TCM methods, the optimum program can be selected between them.[Methods]203 clinical cases which consisted of the patients whom the IVF-ET did not work on in West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University (West China Women's and Children's Hospital of Sichuan University) Reproductive Center were chose to observed, and those patients had kidney deficiency and liver qi stagnation with blood stasis syndrome:treatment groups comprised 66 cases in duplex treatment groups and 72 cases in triple treatment groups,65 cases in control groups. Then we collected the internal of TCMs syndromes, observed before and after transplantation and observed the improvement of before and after treatment, compared the data as followings:natural pregnancy rate after three-group treatment, the number of mature eggs, oosperms and fresh embryos, fertility rate, HCG-dates intrauterine membrane thickness and ET-dates intrauterine membrane thickness after applying the IVF-ET, observed embryo transplantation rate, period cancelling rate, pregnancy rate, clinical pregnancy rate, biochemical pregnancy rate and early abortion rate in the three groups before and after treatment.[Results]1. In the process of applying multi-ways therapy of TCMs to patients, the duplex treatment group has 7 cases in natural pregnancy, the triple treatment group has 18 cases in natural pregnancy, the control group has no cases in natural pregnancy. Compared among groups in group 2 and group 3, there is a statistical difference in the natural pregnancy rate (P<0.05). The treatment group is superior to the control group, and the triple therapy is superior to the duplex therapy.2. After applying multi-ways therapy of TCMs to patients, there is a significant difference in the IVF-ET's efficiency in promoting the initial rate of transplantation period and The cycle cancellation rate; compared between before treatment and after treatment, there is no statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05), and there is a statistical difference in the duplex treatment group and triple treatment group (P<0.05); The oocyte cycle rate of transplantation; compared between before treatment and after treatment, there is no statistical difference in the control group and duplex treatment group (P<0.05), and there is a statistical difference in the triple treatment group (P<0.05); compared with the after treatment group, there is no statistical difference among those three groups(P>0.05).3. After applying multi-ways therapy of TCMs to patients, there is a significant difference in the IVF-ET" s efficiency in promoting fertilized rate, the clinical pregnancy rate and the early abortion rate; compared between before treatment and after treatment, there is no statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05), and there is a statistical difference in the duplex treatment group and triple treatment group (P<0.05); compared with the after treatment group, there is a statistical difference among those three groups (P<0.05), there is no statistical difference between the duplex treatment group and the triple treatment group (P>0.05).4. After applying multi-ways therapy of TCMs to patients, kidney deficiency and liver qi stagnation with blood stasis syndrome; compared between before treatment and after treatment, there is a statistical difference in the control group (P<0.05), there is statistical difference in the duplex treatment group and the triple treatment group; compared with the after treatment, there is a statistical difference among those three groups (P<0.05), there is no statistical difference between the duplex treatment group and the triple treatment group (P>0.05).[Conclusion]This study preliminarily shows that multi-ways therapy of TCMs can increase the natural pregnancy rate of the patients whom the IVF-ET didn't work on (including the triple therapy is prior to the duplex therapy); it can enhance the fertilized rate and Transfer rate of IVF-ET as well as the clinical pregnancy rate, and reduce the early abortion rate and the cycle cancellation rate; it also can improve kidney deficiency and liver qi stagnation with blood stasis syndrome of the patients whom the IVF-ET did not work on.
