Effects Of Different Feeding Modes On Growth Performance,Physiological And Biochemical Characteristics Of Weaned Piglets

In order to evaluate the effects of different feeding patterns on the growth performance and body development of weaned piglets,we performed this experiment.In this study,540 weaned piglets of same age and boy weight were randomly divided into control,test 1 and test 2 groups.There were 5 pens in test 1 group and 4 pens in test 2 group,and each pen contained 52 piglets.There were 4 pens in control group,and each pen contained 18 piglets.Control group was fed with dry food by regular automatic feeding trough,and the test group 1 and 2 were fed by two different brands of automatic congee feeding equipment respectively,the study began when the piglets weaned,and ended at the age of 70 days,the whole study period was 46 days.The results showed that there were significant effect on the weight gain and food consumption of the piglets between different feeding patterns.Compared with the control group,the average daily weight gain of the test group 1 and 2 were increased by 27.22%and 24.80%respectively(P<0.05),while the average daily food consumption increased by 24.94%and 24.83%respectively(P<0.05).The rate of diarrhea was significantly lower in test group 1 and group 2(P>0.05),and the rate of other diseases was reduced by 10.46%(P<0.05)and 6.14%(P>0.05)respectively,the survival rates were increased by 8.90%(P<0.05)and 4.00%(P>0.05)respectively.Effects on blood biochemical indexes results showed that there were different effects on the blood routine indicators of weaned piglets by different feeding patterns,when compared with the control group,the hemoglobin content of the test group 1 and group 2 were increased by 63.49%and 30.56%(P<0.05)respectively,and the lymphocyte ratio in the group 1 was increased by 26.10 percent(P<0.05),while neutrophil ratio decreased by 22.27 percent(P<0.05).The results of visceral development test of weaning piglets show that:in the terms of the small intestine development,compared with the control group,the small intestine weight of test group 1 and group 2 increased by 240.1 g and 244.4 g,and increased 30.93%and 31.49%,respectively,the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).In the terms of the stomach development,compared with the control group,the stomachs weight of test group 1 and group 2 increased by 51.43g and 58.30g respectively,with a significant difference of 34.56%and 39.18%respectively(P<0.05),In the terms of liver development,compared with the control group,the liver weight of test group 1 and group 2 were increased by 203.65 g and 235.60 g respectively,increased 34.54%and 39.96%respectively,the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).Compared with the control group,in the terms of renal development,the kidney weight of test group 1 and group 2 were increased by 51.63 g and 52.43 g respectively,increasing 45.41%and 46.11%respectively(P<0.01).In the terms of head development,compared with the control group,the test group 1 and group 2 gained 0.43 kg and 0.59 kg respectively,with a significant difference of 20.09%and 27.57%increased,respectively(P<0.05).In the terms of hoofs development,compared with the control group,the test group 1 and group 2 gained 0.23kg and 0.15kg respectively,with a significant difference of 34.85%and 22.73%respectively(P<0.05),In the terms of carcass weight development,compared with the control group,the weight gain of test group 1 was 5.38 kg,increased 45.75%,the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).The weight gain of the test group was 5.01 kg,with a significant difference of 42.60%increased(P<0.05).The experiment results of development of intestinal villus showed that the height of duodenal intestinal villi in the test group 1 was 24.44 ?m higher than the control group,increased 10.38%,and the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).the height of duodenal intestinal villi in the experiment groups 2 was 31.33 ?m higher than the control group,increased 16.67%,and the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).The height of ileal villi in the test group 1 was 39.11 ?m higher than the control group,increased 15.57%(P<0.01).The height of ileal villi in the test group 2 was 41.89 ?m higher than the control group,increased 16.67%,and the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).The height of jejunum villi in the test group 1 was 32.63 ?m higher than the control group,increased 12.15%,and the difference was remarkable(P<0.01).The height of jejunum villi in the test group 2 was 39.05 ?m higher than the control group,increased 14.54%(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the height of the duodenum,ileum and jejunum villi between test group 1 and group 2(P>0.05).The experiment results of development of crypt of the duodenum showed that,the crypt of the duodenum in the test group 1 was 17.89 ?m shorter than the control group,with a significant difference of 9.45%decreased(P<0.05).The crypt of the duodenum in the test group 2 was 11.22 ?m shorter than the control group,decreased 5.93%,and the difference was not significant(P>0.05).in the terms of crypt of Ileum,jejunum,there was no signifcant difference between the two test groups and the control group(P>0.05).This study showed that feeding weaned piglets with porridge can significantly improve the growth performance such as increase the feed consumption and weight gain,and improve the health status of piglets,reduce morbidity,improve the survival rate to a certain extent.It also can improve the blood hemoglobin content of piglets,promote the synthesis of piglet hemoglobin,prevent piglet anemia,improve the anti-stress ability and improve the health condition.It can improve the serum immunoglobulin content of weaned piglets,increase the content of T-SOD and T-AOC in serum and decrease the content of MDA,and to improve the antioxidant properties of weaned piglets to a certain extent.It can improve the development of the stomach,liver,kidney and small intestine of piglets,improve the small intestinal weight and the length of the small intestine,improve the length of the small intestinal villi,reduce the crypt of the duodenum,promote the growth and development of the pig digestive organ,and improve the pig's digestive system.There was no significant difference in the effect between different brands of automatic congee feeding equipment.The congee feeding equipment used in this study with high degree of automation and the characteristics of water-saving was more suitable for the promotion and application in the scale pig farm.
