Taxus media is a natural hybrid,which T.baccata is as the male parent and T.cuspidata is as female.It has about 100 years of history in the United States and Canada.,Taxus media had been introduced into Chana and planted experimentally in Sichuan in mid 90 s,Determination by authoritative organization,the introduction of Taxus media of biological characteristics stably and no variation appeared.At present,it has been developed to the more than 10 strains after long-term cultivation and selection.Among them,Taxus media is one of the species approved by the United States FDA used to extract paclitaxel.The content of taxol in Chinese(including Natural Taxus chinensis)is generally between 0.01% and 0.004%,but the content of taxol in Taxus media is 0.02%~0.06% and 6-10 times of natural.Its resistance to high temperature and high temperature resistance,strong adaptability and the branches of renewable,which provides a great prospect for development and utilization of resources of Taxus media.In this paper,We did character identification,micro-identification,physical chemistry identification,TLC and content of main components in order to further study on Taxus media,Preliminarily make clear about the basic characteristics of taxus media.At the same time through the ITS2 sequence comparison study on Taxus media between Taxus chinensis var.mairei,Found that the Taxus chinensis var.mairei showed a monophyletic group,a single branch;Taxus media and T.x media,Taxus baccata and T.cuspidata were clustered into one clade,Taxus globosa and T.Floridana were clustered in a clade,and the Bootstrap support rate between the two clade supports are very high.This research results will contribute to the further research and development of the Taxus media.it is also found that the ITS2 sequence has great application potential in the systematic study and identification of the species.The same will apply in Identification of DNA molecules between Taxus media and Taxus chinensis var.mairei...
