Through survey and analysis on the current cotton picking units in Xinjiang,this paper considers the characteristics of mechanization cotton picking(strong seasonality,short harvest time and vulnerable in external environment),researches horizontal spindl e-type picking units,analyzes picking mechanism,analyzes the structural parameters an d work parameters of picking units,considers the planting mode of the machine-harve sted cotton in Xinjiang—“short,early and dense” and develops an integrated performa nce testbed for horizontal spindle-type cotton picking units which can work indoors,st ably and reliably and be operated simply and conveniently with adjustable experimenta l parameters.This will offer technical support to performance test,working status mon itoring and the optimizing of working parameters and structural parameters of the key parts of horizontal spindle-type picking units.On the premise of guaranteeing accurate and reliable test of the testbed,this rese arch uses the methods of scheme design,farmland data statistics,structural parameters investigation,theoretical analysis,computer aided design,computer force analysis and test analysis to complete the development of integrated performance testbed for horiz ontal spindle-type picking units.In addition,the test on the rate of net picking is ope rated to analyze the degree of simulating real picking effect.Concrete research content s are listed below:(1)Through the investigation on the development of mechanization cotton picking in Xinjiang and aiming at the performance of the core part of domestic horizontal spi ndle-type picking units,this paper makes comparison to domestic and foreign current r esearches,puts forward the development of integrated performance testbed for horizont al spindle-type cotton picking units and confirms overall design plan for the testbed.(2)According to the overall design plan for the testbed,this paper researches the basic parameters about the testbed design.1.Aming at the main machine-harvested cott on Xinluzao 62 in Shihezi of Xinjiang,this paper makes data statistics and analysis o n the height of cotton plants,the diameter of cotton plants,the height of the lowest c otton bolls and the weight of cotton plants.This offers reference data for designing th e height of the suspension device of testbed,designing the included angle of the holdi ng device of testbed,designing the height between picking unit and transmission platf orm of cotton plants and selecting band carrier and motor for transmitting cotton plant s.2.Through investigating 4MZ-5 picking unit of Guihang cotton picker,this paper res earches external structure parameters of picking unit,internal transmission parameters o f picking unit,power of picking unit,speed coefficient ratio of the roller of picking u nit and cotton picker.This offers theoretical basis for designing the length,width and height of the suspension device of testbed,designing the transmission shaft of power t ransmission device,setting the revolving speed ratio between the motor of power transmission device and the motor of cotton transmission platform and confirming the power of the motor of power transmission device.(3)This paper makes theoretical analysis and structure design on the integral struct ure and main parts of the suspension device,cotton plants transmission device and po wer transmission device of the mechanical part of integrated performance testbed for h orizontal spindle-type cotton picking unit.In addition,mechanical analysis software A NSYS is used to make force analysis on the main force part—cantilever of the testbe d.This is to verify that the design meets force demand.Reference sizes are offered t o the machine manufacturing of the testbed.(4)Aiming at research purpose of this paper,function of measurement and control system is demanded.Combining its working principle,the hardware and software of measurement and control system are designed.Kingview human-computer interface is t he main interface of the measurement and control system.PLC control technique,freq uency converter,revolving speed and torque measurement instrument,temperature and humidity sensor,air switch,signal converter and some other electric parts are used to control motor's revolving speed and monitor the revolving speed,torque and internal t emperature and moisture of picking unit in real time.(5)On the basis of above research,manufacture the integrated performance testbed for horizontal spindle-type cotton picking units and complete performance debugging and verification.In addition,the test on the rate of net picking is operated to get the rate of net picking: 94%.
