Biochar is a high carbon stable substance formed by pyrolysis of biomass(such as straw,sawdust,etc.)under anaerobic or anoxic conditions at temperature from 350 to 600 degrees.Biochar have the roles of improving soil,regulating soil N and promoting plant growth.In this study,we designed a specific process route,extracted soluble organic carbon material from biochar made from wheat straw,produced biochar liquid fertilizer by adding a certain proportion of trace elements into the extract.A field experiment is arranged in order to research the effects of biochar liquid fertilizer on Mao herb and Balloon flower.The field experiment was conducted in Maoshan chinese herbal medicine production base,Jintan City,Jiangsu Province.Atractylis lancea and Balloon flower these two root block neck kind of traditional Chinese medicine are selected as research object in the exiperiment.In order to research the effects of biochar liquid fertilizer,we designed four treatments such as spraying(T1),root irrigation(T2),both foliar spraying and root irrigation(T3)and control(CK).In the experiment,The following results were obtained.BCLF significantly enhances the content of Atractylis lancea root rhizosphere soil organic matter,total nitrogen and available potassium content by all three treatments of spraying(T1),root irrigation(T2),both foliar spraying and root irrigation(T3),but soil pH,available phosphorus content was not significant.Between the three treatments,the effect of spraying leaves(T1)was the best.BCLF increased Atractylis lancea plants plant high,leaf length,leaf width and content of leaf chlorophyll significantly(P<0.05).Among them,the root irrigation(T2)has the best effect.BCLF significantly(P<0.05)increased the yield of Atractylis lancea,and also the root irrigation(T2)effects the best,foliar spraying(T1)is the worst in the all three treatment.BCLF significantly(P<0.05)increased the iron and manganese,zinc and copper content of Atractylis lancea plants under all three treatments,and root irrigation(T2)has the best effect.BCLF increased significantly(P<0.05)the Rhizoma Atractylodis Pigment Content of Atractylis lancea which is considered to be the most important quality indicator,and root irrigation effects best.BCLF enhances the content of Balloon flower root rhizosphere soil organic matter,total nitrogen,available phosphorus and available potassium content by all three treatments of foliar spraying(T1),root irrigation(T2),both foliar spraying and root irrigation(T3),the difference is significantly except available phosphorus.BCLF has no significant effect on soil acidity and alkalinity.BCLF increased Balloon flower plants plant high,leaf width significantly(P<0.05)and leaf length not significantly(P<0.05).Among three treatments,foliar spraying(T1)is the best and the root irrigation(T2)is the worst.Also BCLF significantly(P<0.05)increased the yield of Balloon flower,the foliar spraying(T1)effects the best,and root irrigation(T2)effects the worst.BCLF significantly(P<0.05)increased the iron,manganese,zinc and copper content of Balloon flower plants under all three treatments,also the total saponins and total sugar content which is considered to be the most important quality indicator.the foliar spraying(T1)effects the best,and root irrigation effects worst.The research results of this paper are expected to provide a theoretical basis for the application of biomass carbon and the application of liquid fertilizer in the cultivation of medicinal plants.
