Peptic ulcer(PU)is one of the most common clinical medical disease for dogs, occurs mainly in the stomach and duodenum.Clinically anorexia, vomiting, abdominal pain, progressive weight loss and occasional diarrhea as the main symptoms.A variety of reasons can cause peptic ulcers occur in dogs, generally include:stress ulcer,NSAIDs class of drugs(such as aspirin, ibuprofen, meloxicam etc),gastrinoma, kidney and liver failure and pathogens microbial infection.Pathogenesis of peptic ulcer is quite complex,it has not yet been fully elucidated. Now many believe that the presence of gastric acid and pepsin is the basis of the incidence of peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal mucosal defense system is damaged break factor leading to the occurrence of this disease.Currently, small animal clinical use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, antacids and some of the treatment of this disease, but treatment is often poor and vulnerable to relapse. Objective:To explore a rapid onset of peptic ulcer in dogs, good effect, low recurrence rate and adverse reactions of the new treatment program, and provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of peptic ulcers in dogs. This study was collected from January 2015 to March 2016 during the Nanjing Bo Yan pet hospital by clinical, laboratory and endoscopic examination confirmed 130 cases of peptic ulcer dogs as research subjects. The selected 130 dogs tested treatment order using a random number table number, they were randomly divided into five groups of 26.Group 5 dogs tested treatment options are:A group received amoxicillin(50mg/kg);B group given amoxicillin(50mg/kg)+ metronidazole(15mg/kg);C group given amoxicillin amoxicillin(50mg/kg)+ lansoprazole(lmg/kg);D group were given metronidazole(15mg/kg)+ lansoprazole(1mg/kg);E group given amoxicillin(50mg/kg)+metronidazole(15mg/kg)+ lansoprazole(lmg/kg).Five groups of test dogs administered twice daily for 7 consecutive days. All tested dogs in general clinical examination before treatment and 3,7 and 14 days of treatment, laboratory tests, endoscopy and gastrointestinal imaging blood examination, the remission rate between five groups between healing rate, efficiency and adverse reaction to the treatment effect and safety reviews. It was found that all the tested dogs were not there during the test drug-related adverse events,no significant difference(P>0.05)among the five groups;the first 7 days of treatment, group B(amoxicillin and metronidazole)and group C(amoxicillin lansoprazole)the rates were 85.7%and 90.9%in group a were higher than 81.8%of amoxicillin alone group, cure rates were 61.9%and 77.3%,also higher 54.5%in a group.Group E(amoxicillin lansoprazole + metronidazole +)triple therapy dogs peptic ulcer healing rate was 95.2%,the effective rate was 100%,which were better than the other four groups, and a significant difference(P<0.05).7 days after treatment, recurrence rate between five groups found E group<C<Group B<D Group<A group, the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:amoxicillin(50mg/kg)+ metronidazole(15mg/kg)+ lansoprazole(1 mg/kg)triple therapy,2 times a day, continuous medication seven days treatment of peptic ulcer in dogs, its high cure rate, low recurrence rate and good security,it is worth a small animal clinic.
