On The Sustainable Management Level And Evaluations Of Fujian’s Forests From Farmers’ Perspective

The issue of development and environment is what international concerned.Sustainable Development harmonizes the relationship between human and nature.The forest issues having been the important topic of international dialogue and it has become the international accepted concept on forest development.How to monitor and evaluate the progress on SFM and how to judge the SFM?the Criteria and Indicators,as a technical support to SFM,was initiated and conducted worldwide.Most researchers focus on the Criteria and Indicators at Regional and National levels,which could not be used in the measurement and assessment on the sustainability of SFM.Hence,the research on the evaluation system of the measuring the sustainability of forest management using criteria and indicators in Fujian province from aspects of farmers.Based on the review of C&I development on different initiatives,the author looks into the study background and specific study methods relating to domestic sustainable management of forests.The study subjects are rural families carried out sustainable forest management in Fujian province,with the methods of interview,questionnaire and field investigation.The scope of subjects covers 500 rural families over ten regions in Fujian,including Wuyi City,Jian’ou City,Zhenghe City,Pingnan County,Youxi County,Yong’an County,Zhangping City,Yongding District,Youding County,Changtai County.Fujian forest resource situation and researches are referred to,by making use of Such mature evaluation methods as AHP and Delphi method are applied.The study is based on the current evaluation system of forest sustainable management,taking into consideration the regional features of Fujian province,which help establishing the sustainable evaluating index system from the prospect of rural families,that consists of four levels,21 indicators in this paper.The weight of each index was determined by the analytic hierarchy process and expert opinion.The comprehensive evaluation index of forest sustainable management was obtained by using the calculation formula of comprehensive index.Then the analysis of current situation of sustainable development in economy,ecology and society attributed to Fujian rural families can be carried out based on the sustainable evaluating index system available.Thus the sustainable evaluating index of forest management from the pros pect of which reach the standard of "excellent forest sustainable manage ment from the prospect of Fujian rural families " according to the evaluati ng criteria.Fujian rural families can be figured out at 8.1624,forestry economy and cultural development and forestry social cultural development,in light of the statistics obtained in the study,actual situation of Fujian forest sustainable management,valuable experience concerning forest sustainable management at home and abroad.So that rural families in Fujian province and many other regions can acquire effective advice and guidance from the study.
