Investigation And Control Of Soil Pests On Peanut In Shangqiu Area

Peanut is one of the main advantage crops of Shangqiu area.It has got a good market around the country for its great look and taste.And farmers benefit a lot in planting peanut.Shangqiu is the main peanuts producing areaof China.The area of peanut planting farmlandin Shangqiu is more than 100 million mu and the peanut production is about 300,000 tons,Underground pestsare hidden in the soil and damage the seeds,shoots,young roots and young stems of peanuts and lead to the death of peanuts.Peanut productionhas been seriously damaged by underground pests.Surveyingthe underground pests in Shangqiu area and working out pharmaceutical control measures is of great significance.In this study,the species and quantity of underground pests in Shangqiu area were statistically analyzed by means of light trapping and random sampling of soil.The results showed that 9 underground pests are found which is from 6 different families,including Gryllotalpidae,Margarodidae,Rutelidae,Melolonthidae,Gryllidea and Elateridae.After identification,the primary underground pests of peanut farmland in Shangqiu area are grubs and the dominated species of grubs were Holotrichia oblita Fald.and Holotrichia parallela Motschulsky.30% phoxim capsule suspension,25% imidacloprid WP,Metarhizium wettable powder,40% phoxim EC and BT-A wettable powder were used to seed dressing to determine the effects on controlling grubs and.The five insecticides had good control effect on the underground pests,and the fruit saving rate was significantly higher than negative control.Theaverage loss rate and control effect of 25% imidacloprid WP was 6.35% and 78.9%,respectively.In the maturity of peanut,the average loss rate and control effect of 30% phoxim microcapsule is 3.90% and73.29%,respectively.
