Investigation And Regional Classification Of Forest Diseases And Insect Pests In Nanchang County,Jiangxi Province

With the development of social and economic,forest diseases and pests attract increasing attention fron the public as an important factor influencing forest health and ecological security.In order to meet the needs of forest diseases and pests in the new situation,a comprehensive investigation on the basic situation in Nanchang county is of great significance for maintaining the resources and national ecological security of this area.This paper takes towns and villages in Nanchang County as the survey area to conduct a investigation on the status of forest diseases and pests,and then analysis the impact of major climatic factors on the occurrence of forest diseases and pests.Finally,the prevention and control areas are divided into three parts based on the distribution of forest resources and the occurrence of forest diseases and pests.The results of this paper may provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of forest diseases and pests,as well as provide basic support for the macro management.The results are summarized as follows:1.Occurrence status of forest diseases and pests in Nanchang County More than 320 species of disease and more than 350 species of pest were collected during the past three years’ investigation in Nanchang County.A total of 60 species of diseases and 236 species of pests were identified via morphological identification method.No national forest quarantine pests and diseases were found,however,six species of national forestry dangerous forest diseases and pests were found,respectivel.The rest were indigenous forestry pests and diseases.18 species of diseases and 20 species of pests are found to be widespread.The types of forest diseases and pests that cause great harm are Melampsora laricipopulina Kleb,Pestalotia funerea Desm.,Glomerella cingulata(stonem)spauld.et schr.,Dendrolimus,Monochamus Alternatus Hope,Clostera Anachoreta(Fabricius),Anoplophora chinensis Forster.The main forestry diseases occurred in eight towns throughout the county,and the main forestry pests occurred in nine towns in the county.From 2010 to 2019,the occurrence area of ??forest diseases and pests in Nanchang County increased and decreased periodically,and remained stable overall.2.The impact of major climatic factors on the occurrence of forest diseases and pests in Nanchang CountyThe impact of climatic factors on forest diseases and pests has been confirmed in many studies at home and abroad.By consulting a large number of literatures,this study selects three climatic factors that are generally considered to have a greater impact on the occurrence of forest diseases and pests as the object of discussion.According to the results of correlation analysis,the influence of climatic factors on the seven major forest diseases and insect pests in Nanchang County is as follows:(1)temperature,humidity,and precipitation all have certain influence on the occurrence of Melampsora laricipopulina Kleb;(2)Precipitation has a great influence on the occurrence of Pestalotia funerea Desm.,while temperature and humidity have little effect;(3)Humidity has the greatest influence on the occurrence of Glomerella cingulata(stonem)spauld.et schr.,precipitation has a greater influence,and temperature has the smallest effect;(4)occurrence area of Dendrolimus is greatly affected by temperature and humidity,and less affected by precipitation;(5)The occurrence area of Monochamus Alternatus Hope is most affected by temperature,but little affected by humidity and precipitation;(6)The occurrence area of Clostera Anachoreta(Fabricius)is more affected by humidity and precipitation,but less affected by temperature,but three climatic factors all have certain effects;(7)The occurrence area of Anoplophora chinensis Forster is greatly affected by temperature and little by humidity.3.Division of forest diseases and pests control areas in Nanchang County(1)Based on the distribution of forest resources,three forest diseases and pests control areas can be divided.Area one is an area where ??broadleaf tree(such as Populus nigra and Cinnamomum camphora,etc)diseases and pests often occur,and cedar(such as Taxodium ascendens Brongn.and Metasequoia glyptostroboides Hu & W.C.Cheng,etc)diseases and pests occasionally occur.Area two is an area where ??pine tree(such as Pinus massoniana and Pinus elliottii,etc)diseases and pests often occur,and broadleaf tree(such as Populus nigra,etc)diseases and pests ccasionally occur,as well as a potential danger area for termite disasters.Area three is an area where common landscaping trees’ diseases and pests are wide distributed.This area has many kinds of diseases and pests and most of these diseases and pests occurr slightly.(2)Based on the occurrence of diseases and pests in Nanchang County from 2010 to 2019,the units are dynamically divided by towns.According to the area of ??occurrence,fourteen towns and villages are lightly affected areas,three towns and villages are moderately affected areas,and two towns and villages are severely affected areas.According to the infestation area and the disaster rate,nineteen towns are lightly affected areas.Finally,according to the comprehensive index score ranking of each town,the prevention and control trend analysis is carried out,and the prevention and control countermeasures are proposed for subsequent research and management.
