The main species, distribution and damage situation of the pest and disease on jujubetrees in Guanzhong area, Shaanxi province were investigated through survey and plotinvestigation method, especially the jujube plantations in Dali. On the basis of theinvestigation, the ecological relationships between pest and disease infecting jujube trees andthe cultivars, tree-age, and soil types were studied in terms of their characteristics. The maincontrol objects in Guanzhong areas of jujube trees as well as the chemical experiments tocontrol were determined. The results showed that there are13species of pests and diseaseson jujube trees in Guanzhong areas. The jujube rust, jujube powdery mildew, jujube leaf spot,jujube anthracnose, jujube witches broom, jujube root cancer and jujube dehiscent fruitdisease were the main diseases infecting jujube trees in Guanzhong area. The main pests onjujube trees in Guanzhong areas are Carposina niponensis, Ancylis Sativa, Sucra jujuba Chu,Adoxophyes orana, Ceroplastes japonicus Green and Contarinia datifolia Jiang. Therelationship analysis between disease, pest and the cultivars, tree-age, soil types with jujubetrees showed that cultivars Ziziphus jujuba Mill+Lizao and Ziziphus jujuba Mill+Dongzaohad the lowest incidence rate of diseases and pest, and Ziziphus jujuba Mill+Dalishuizao hadthe highest. The major jujube pests and diseases increase with tree-age, a worsening trendappeared. The highest rust disease and powdery mildew infection rate went to orchards withloess soil, the highest jujube witches broom infection to those with sandy soil, the highestCarposina niponensis infection to those with Lou soil, the highest Sucra jujuba Chu infectionto those with loessal soil and Heyu soil, and the highest Ancylis Sativa infection to those withHeyu soil. The analysis of jujube pests in Guanzhong area showed that the jujube pests anddiseases are in variety and serious damage, and the new kinds of pests outbreak constantly.The area attacked by jujube pests increased year by year and the difficulty in prevention andcontrol intensified. The large area pests disaster reduced by years, but the regional pestsdisaster aggravated gradually and seasonal harm appeared obviously. The main diseases andpests occurred alternately, frequently, and suddenly. Chemical control experiments resultsshowed that the35%Chlorantraniliprole water dispersible granule was effective in the prevention of Carposina niponensis on jujube. The20%JUMARUY-OU4000times liquidperformed the best effect on control of Sucra jujuba Chu, and94.4%of pests were killed atthis concentration. The30%Longdengfulian suspension was99.4%effective in control ofjujube leaf diseases and87.1%effective for Jujube fruit diseases.
