The potato has become the world's fifth largest food crop after wheat, rice, corn and sorghum,in China, the potato is the third largest food crop after wheat, rice and corn. The potato planting area and the total output of our country rank first in the world, but the level of mechanization production is still low, which seriously restricts the development of China's potato products industry. At present, a large number of potato harvester in our country is mainly small machinery, and the efficiency is low. In addition, after the harvest of potato, a large amount of plastic film residue in the soil, long-term accumulation will cause adverse effects on the ecological environment, and even lead to potato production.Artificial recycling of plastic film will waste a lot of manpower and material resources, and the development of plastic film in our country is still not enough. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a new type of potato harvester, which has the function of harvesting, separating,transporting and film mulching, which is a combination of potato harvesting and plastic film recycling.(1) In this paper, a combination of agricultural machinery and agronomic design method, developed a kind of potato mining, harvesting function and plastic film recycling composite machinery. By profiling wheel, digging shovel, potato soil jitter separation conveyor chain, potato membrane separation conveyor chain, a depth limiting wheel, a film winding device, three point suspension device. When working, the digging shovel will soil,potato, plastic film together to shovel up, through the separation of the delivery mechanism to complete the potato soil separation, while the film was rolled up device roll up, to achieve film recycling operations.(2) The physical properties of the film were measured, and the performance index of the film was mastered, which provided a theoretical reference for the design of the plastic film recycling machine. The jitter separation and transportation mechanism solves theproblem of the membrane recovery and the blocking of the film and the film winding mechanism. Digging mechanism can adjust the depth of excavation, can reduce the digging resistance and the use of machines working in different types of terrain. The developed potato harvester and plastic recycling machine, can significantly improve potato harvest rate,improve the recovery efficiency of plastic film, has important practical value.(3) Three dimensional modeling of the whole machine parts is carried out by using Pro/E5.0, and the interference check is carried out by virtual assembly. Using Workbench ANSYS finite element analysis software to carry out the static analysis of the main parts of the machine, to verify its static performance to meet the design requirements. The kinematics simulation is carried out, the feasibility and reliability of the design scheme are developed through motion simulation, and the structure design is optimized to make the design more reasonable.
