Transportation is a very common daily activity in cities.As the most frequently-used means of transportation in the city,buses should serve a part of the minority groups,the weak groups,while serving the public.The vulnerable groups travelling by bus are mainly physiologically disadvantaged groups,which include the elderly,infants,pregnant women,disabled persons and passengers carrying heavy objects.It is inconvenient to get on and off,and the special function area and special seats are not perfect.At present,the current situation of urban buses in China can not fully meet the travel needs of vulnerable groups.Based on this,In this paper,the accessibility of urban bus ride as the research object,focusing on the needs of vulnerable groups of bus ride for the design of barrier-free design.The specific studies are as follows:1.The research background of this paper is introduced,and the city bus is chosen as the research object,and the target group is defined as the vulnerable group.2.The characteristics of the needs of the disadvantaged groups and the special needs for travel are analyzed and studied,and the design defects of the existing domestic buses which fail to meet these needs are put forward.3.In accordance with the current design principles of barrier-free design and general design,this paper summarizes the existing design of barrier-free bus that needs to be improved,and draws lessons from the advanced design experience at home and abroad,and puts forward the design idea and design scheme of this paper.4.The market orientation of the barrier-free bus is made,and the barrier-free design of the facilities in different parts is studied,including the barrier-free structure of the upper and lower doors,and the design scheme of the automatic rotating guide plate.The special seat and special functional area of the vulnerable group are designed and studied,and the design of adding seat belt to the special seat is made,and the modeling of bus handrail based on ergonomics is studied.It is expected that the research results of this paper can provide a theoretical basis for future urban bus designers and users and promote the popularization of urban accessible buses to a certain extent.
