Analysis Of Barrier-free Design For Urban Park

Urban park is the main recreational activity place for city residents. Barrier-free design ofurban park can satisfy the using demand of different types of visitors, including disadvantagedgroups to the park, making the disadvantaged groups better integrated into the social family. Itis conducive to the whole social harmony and stability.The research purpose of this subject is promoting the research on barrier-free constructionof urban park. First, the legal norms and the practical results of barrier-free design in thecurrent world have been studied in this paper as well as psychological and behaviorcharacteristics and requirements of disadvantaged groups. By questionnaire survey, get theconclusion that demand of disadvantaged groups for the use of urban parks is very strong.Second, barrier-free design classic cases in the world are analyzed, many experience worthy oflearning are summarized. Third, barrier-free design of Beijing Olympic forest park has beenstudied by the way of field trips and questionnaire survey. Then summarize the advantages anddisadvantages of barrier-free design in this park, and put forward suggestions to ascend. Andthen, discuss the urban park barrier-free design, put forward the main points of the barrier-freedesign in city parks, namely, accessibility, participating, universality, sightseeing, healing,economy, Science and Technology. Finally, put forward the view that the urban park ofbarrier-free design should be developed in the direction of the universal design, and should bemixed with other majors. Hope for this paper can be a reference to the future urban parkbarrier-free design.
