Along with the current expansion of university campuses in China,the deep-rooted concept of green travel,and the large-scale development of urban shared bicycles,bicycle traffic has become one of the major modes of transportation on the university campus.This is followed by the static parking problem of bicycles on campus.The bicycle shed is the main carrier for bicycle parking.Whether it is on an old histor-ic campus or a new campus built in recent years,it was once Ignore.The appropriate bicycle shed design not only can shelter the bicycle from cycling,but also guides the bikes to be parked in an orderly manner.It can also become a positive factor for the campus environment.The development of digital technology has brought about tremendous changes in architecture.After the introduction of computer digital technology,the possibility of architectural design has greatly increased.In addition,parametric design,as a tool,allows the design and construction to present an overall relation-ship that is closely related and allows the design to be expressed more freely.The paper mainly includes four parts for the design of bicycle sheds in Nanjing University Drum Tower Community:The first part is the current situation investigation.Through the field investigation and analysis,it an-alyzes and summarizes the problems and impacts of campus parking,and classifies the bicycle parking space on the Drum Tower campus into several types of typical bicycle parking lots on campus.The second part is the reference collection and case study of bicycles and related parking materials.Based on the relevant data and cases,the basic types of bicycle parking methods and bicycle shed shelter methods are extracted to form the basis of bicycle shed design in Drum Tower campus.The third part is the design of the program.First,four types of basic parking shading structure sections are designed on the basis of different parking modes of bicycles.According to the characteristics of differ-ent venue types of the campus,the four parking sections are combined with different bicycle parking modes,and the parameters are used.The method of design changes its influence,resulting in a series of single bicycle sheds and integrated bicycle sheds.The fourth part is related to the design drawings,including renderings,plans,elevations,axonometrics and other related analysis drawings.This project focuses on designing from the parking mode of the bicycle and the sheltering mode of the bicycle shed,and simply applies the parametric design method and means in the program,trying to provide a new possibility for the bicycle shed on the Drum Tower campus.
