The construction of campus culture is an important content that students can not ignore.A good public art atmosphere can imperceptibly influence the students’ spiritual world,change the campus environment and expand the diversified teaching activities with the classical architectural form.Although they cannot play an immediate effect,they have been affecting the students’ mental world all the time.Different campus culture makes the public environment of the campus different.Chinese traditional cultures are the accumulation of culture in China for thousands of years.It is the cultural essence that has been preserved through centuries.It is the crystallization of the people’s wisdom for thousands of years,and it is integrated into the design of the public art of the campus,which affects the students’ learning and campus life.Yuelu Academy is one of the first four major academies in China.Since the founding of the Tai Shou Zhu Dong in the Northern Song and Zhou Dynasty,it has been a good inheritance for more than one thousand years.Thousands of years’ heritage is also a process of thousands of years of cultural accumulation.No one will deny that the shadow of Chinese traditional culture can be found from the design of Yuelu Academy,too.It can extract elements of traditional Chinese culture and apply them in other campus designs.This article chooses the perspective of Chinese traditional culture to analyze the public art design of the primary and secondary school campus,and takes the ancient first Academy Yuelu Academy as an example to analyze its design features,and then take the net month primary and secondary school in Changchun as an example to analyze the public art design of the primary and middle school campus.The author collects and sorts the relevant research data at home and abroad,summarizing the research analysis of traditional culture at home and abroad as well as the public art of campus,accurately defines the related concepts and further clarifying the research direction of this article.From the perspective of Chinese traditional culture,it analyzes its characteristics and the application of traditional culture in campus public art,and analyzes the relationship between the two.Taking Yuelu Academy as an example,this paper analyzes the design process of ancient academy,and fully draws on the different manifestations of the campus public environment,finds out the weak links in the heritage of traditional culture,and analyzes the future direction of the design and development of the campus public art.Taking the primary and secondary schools in Changchun JingYue area as an example,this paper analyzes the principles and strategies of Chinese traditional culture,analyzes the Enlightenment of Yuelu Academy to the campus public art design,and then launches the concrete public art design.The study of this paper extracts the Chinese traditional culture elements in Yuelu Academy,and applies them to specific practical projects,which further inherits the traditional Chinese culture and enriches the content of the campus public art design.
