Medical diagnostic endoscope ultrasonic imaging technique occupy an considerable position in the detection of body and other parts of the digestive tract because it is able to detect potential diseases and has advantages with non-destructive.There are two commonly used ultrasound endoscopy systems,ring scan endoscopic imaging system and phased array ultrasound endoscopic imaging system respectively.Compared with ring scan endoscopic imaging system,phased array ultrasound endoscopic imaging system can overcome the problems of low resolution and low image quality in traditional ultrasonic detection.Phased array ultrasound endoscopic imaging technology has the advantages including using electron beam focusing and scanning without the case of rotating the transducer to achieve rapid tissue scan;achieving the ultrasonic beam spatial synthesis even in the low driving voltage and getting a strong sound field strength of the scanning signal;system stability,anti-interference ability;controlling the focus size,focus depth,beam deflection direction flexibly.At present,the main bottleneck in the research of real-time synthetic aperture imaging system is the large amount of data and the large amount of data storage,which makes it difficult to meet the real-time requirement.When the number of transducer arrays increases,the complexity of system hardware architecture and the difficulty of development increases therewith..To overcome the problems above,a phased array ultrasound imaging system based on PCIe is designed and implemented.The system mainly includes a transmitting module,a receiving module,a data transmitting module and a GPU data processing module.The data transmission module which is based on PCIe bus with FPGA core is completed,and the data transmission is proved to be stable and accurate by experiments,which lays the foundation for the final realization of phased array ultrasound imaging system.The main work in this paper is listed below:1.Researched on high-level phased array system of China and abroad and designed the PCIe-based phased array ultrasound endoscopic imaging system and completed the functional module division.The system mainly includes the transmitting module,receiving module,the data transmission module.A variety of integrated chips are used in the scheme to meet the performance requirements and to achieve the system miniaturization.2.Calculated data transmission module hardware system requirements,and designed phased array ultrasonic endoscope data transmission module based on XILINX VC709 Virtex-7 FPGA development platform.3.Used FPGA to realize the high-speed data transmission based on PCIe bus,and the working principles of three main modules in FPGA including AXI_Stream_GEN module,VIFIFO_DDR3 module and PCIe_DMA module and the IP cores of each module are introduced in detail.4.The test system of PCIe data transmission module is constructed,which verifies the correctness and feasibility of the system.
