The pilot unit can access and display the navigation and positioning information related to the ship in real time,and plays an increasingly important role in ensuring pilotage safety,improving pilotage efficiency and reducing labour intensity of pilots.But there are still some problems with the existing pilotage unit,for example,unstable position and course of ship during the pilotage.Furthermore,most of existing pilotage units use the data from American Global Positioning System(GPS)as the sources of positioning data,while this system has some certain safe risks in use.Therefore,through the demand analysis,the thesis comes to the conclusion that pilotage unit should be equipped with certain functions.On the basis of these functions,the portable unit which assists the pilotage operation has been designed and developed,based on Beidou navigation satellite system(BDS)as the positioning data sources.In this thesis,a variety of factors affecting satellite positioning performance are analyed and the feasibility of using the high-precision BDS module as the data sources of pilot unit is confirmed.Through the in-depth analysis of the functional requirements and non-functional requirements during the pilotage operation,the function design of the pilot unit based on BDS is completed.Using commercial shelf products and technology(COTS),the pilot unit system design is carried out,including hardware design and software design.At the same time,the thesis focuses on the problems of course jitter during the use of pilot equipment before,therefore,the Kalman digital filtering algorithm is added before the navigation data is showed in order to improve the stable display of the navigation data,and the improvement effect is verified by simulation.The selection and integration of the high precision BDS positioning module as well as the software upgrade and development is completed in the detailed design and implementation phase of the program.During the test at sea,the unit prototype not only display high precision positioning BDS data correctly,but bring a better use experience for the pilot.Test results show that the pilot unit prototype based on BDS has achieved the original research goal,and verified the validity of the thesis research.At the same time,it provides reference for the promotion of related BDS products in pilotage.
