With the development and improvment of fiber optic gyro technology and production process,fiber optic gyro with middle and low precision has got more and more widely applications in the field of military and civilian,but in the field of ship navigation,because of its operational stability for a long time and high precision navigation performance requirements,the fiber optic gyro inertial navigation system cannot meet the needs of high precision of ship navigation.Light source is an important source sensor signals in the optical fiber gyro,the stand or fall of its performance parameters affects navigation fiber optic gyro scale factor of the stability.Therefore,improve and enhance all aspects of the performance index for the light source of fog will also improve the output signal of Marine navigation precision fiber optic gyro.This topic in the study and research of Marine navigation is based on the principle of optical fiber gyro,analysis the high precision fiber optic gyro performance parameters of the requirements for the light source,and give out the design of circuit and optical path.Firstly,this paper t introduces the four basic structure of EDFA optical fiber amplifier illuminant briefly,after analyzed the Marine navigation working principle of fiber optic gyro,in view of the light source spectrum width,power stability and average wavelength stability in three aspects,respectively,the performance of optical fiber gyro are analyzed theoretically,the influence of the high precision fiber optic gyro is given.The light source system plans to achieve performance indicators: the output spectrum width is 30 ~ 40 nm,stability of the optical output power is 0.1 mW,output,the gain flatness of the spectrum < 0.1 dBm,output the average wavelength of 1550 nm signal light stability < 1 ppm /?,the output 1550 nm signal light power > 6 mW,output signal wavelength range of light is about 1530 nm to 1560 nm,the design of the light source for high precision EDFA optical fiber amplifier laid a theoretical foundation.Secondly,this paper is based on the requirement of constant temperature and constant current control of high precision fiber optic gyro light source system,gives out the constant temperature control and laser diode pump laser constant current drive circuit design,the complete protection circuit design,completed the circuit board production and debugging,and gives out the corresponding control algorithm,to make the internal pump laser working temperature stability in 0.01 ?,constant current source driving voltage range of performance of the stable within 0.05 mV.Thirdly,starting from the basic design principle of EDFA optical fiber amplifier,combined with Optisystem optical communication system and amplifier design software,for 1 m,10 m,20 m and 50 m doped fiber length bait EDFA optical fiber amplifier part has carried on the simulation and verification,with the output results,on the basis of comparative analysis,application of return to after the bipolar structure EDFA optical fiber amplifier,the design and implementation of complete light path system structure diagram is given.Finally,we test the performance of the light source system,present the corresponding test results.The test of the output light of 1550 nm optical power is 7.65 mW,power stability is 0.05 mW,the wavelength stability is 0.26 PPM /?,spectral width is 36.249 nm,gain flatness is 0.6 dBm,the indicators have reached the expected design index,and verify the validity of the proposed design scheme.
