New challenges to the development of the optical amplification technology in fiber-optic hydrophone array have been put forward with the rapid progress in the multiplexing techniques. This dissertation has done some research on the optical amplification technology in the large-scale fiber optic hydrophone array theoretically and experimentally, the most points of it are as follows:Review the development of fiber optic hydrophone and EDFA.Put out and compute the model of EDFA, and elicit that the effect of up-conversion can't be neglected when the Er3+ concentration is larger than 2.95×1025 m-3.Analyze the noise in EDFA in detail.Bring forward two kinds of low-noise Pre-EDFA and test their better amply performances: higher gain,lower NF,lower phase noise(Δφ:1×10-5~6×10-5rad) and intensity noise, in addition ,the reflection configuration can reduce the intensity noise of the original system with high pump at 1KHz .Test that the 4-meter EDF is more equal,stable and economical than the 2×3-meter EDF.Test that the PM-EDFA has a gain more than 32dB and lower NF, its intensity and phase noise is lower than the noise of the original system.
