This article studies how to winding high quality fiber optic ring when the fiber optic is under micro tension(lower than 5g, accuracy ?0.5g). Optical fiber winding is a key technology for fiber-optic gyro. Precise place the optical fiber is difficult when the tension is very low. So, develop a more reasonable way to winding fiber optic ring is necessary to improve the accuracy.Firstly, this paper introduce the working principle and mechanical behavior of the optical fiber ring. Analyzes the reason why it is difficult for precise place the optical fiber when the tension is low, and point out that use lever technology to solve this problem is possible. Also provide a solution that use lever technology to wind a four-level symmetrical fiber optic ring to the problem. This paper lists the common problem of the wind process, and how to solve it.Then this paper described in detail of the lever technology, and believe the essence of the lever technology is relocate the fiber optic to reduce the chance that flaw appears. So the process can be more stable. Point out what need to be done in the mechanical systems, image system, and electric system, so that the lever can work well in the wind process. This paper also have defined the factors that affect the wind process and make qualitative analysis. An evaluation standard of fiber optic ring’s uniformity based on image system and lever technology has been designed in this paper. The resolution of this evaluation standard can be 3% based on this image system and the fiber optic.After a large number of experiments, the quantitative analysis to the factors has been done, and this paper provide the method of how to measure the factors and the best value interval. Point out the advantages and disadvantages about lever method, and provide the solutions of the problems that appears during the experiments. At last, in order to control the vibration of the lever, this paper provide the modal analysis of the lever structure.
