Building industrialization is the tendency of modern architecture in China.At present,our country is promoting the prefabricated building.However,the problem is that the technology is neither mature enough nor suitable for today's actual conditions.This paper attempts to combine the advanced technology of the prefabricated building with China's mature concrete system,by replacing the prefabricated concrete components with the prefabricated rigid rebar cages.This method not only takes advantage of the assembly construction but also lowers the cost of prefabricated concrete components,which make it a new building industrialization mode that suits well with China's actual conditions.The research in this paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of building industrialized in factory and building industrialized on site.By comparing the development of domestic and international building industrialization,a new building industrialization mode is proposed:prefabricate rigid rebar cage in factory and concrete on site.The second chapter is based on the research of rebar equipments and puts forward the principles of assembling rigid rebar cages.The third chapter summarizes some architecture design methods based on the construction method of the rigid rebar cages.The fourth chapter exemplifies this design method from two building projects which differ in structural systems and functions.The last chapter is summary and scope of this study.
