Design And Research Of Fire Extinguishers

Domestic fire safety has the direct bearing on people's lives and crucial property security.The increasingly dense urban residential environment and wide application of various household appliances have contributed to the diversified causes of fire accidents.In addition,the dwellers depend too much on the firefighters and have almost no idea of fire control,which lead to a higher mortality in the domestic fire disasters.Therefore,the configuration and proper use of fire extinguishers at home are of great necessity to effectively prevent the fire.The fact is that there are few fire extinguishers designed for the household use,let alone the widespread popularity.As a result,the design study on the household fire extinguishers will not only contribute to the fire prevention but also help to raise the residents' awareness of fire safety.Through making an initial classification of the available fire extinguishers in the market,this thesis aims at the summarizing the shortcomings of these products and thus figuring out the exact direction for further design and innovation.A thorough analysis of the influential factors is made,including the environmental,anthropogenic and market factors,which provides a reference for the research.Moreover,the analysis of people's special psychology and physiological reaction on a fire accident indicates the important significance of the specific design.In order to determine the target users,the author,based on the requirements of the users,collects the data by means of a questionnaire,an interview and a scenario simulation,analyzes and figures out the essential elements for designing the required products.A conclusion to the point is drawn from the study in the end.This study aims to provide more available choices of the fire protection products for the home users.Besides,it hopes to being more efficient experiences on the premise of satisfying the users' demands for the basic functions of such products.
