The Research On Landscape Design Of Central Axis In The Buddhist Cultural Space

Buddhism has spread for thousands of years in China,which left precious material and mental resources;Buddhist Garden is one of them.In recent years,the development of Buddhism resources and the rise of cultural activities,like Buddhist tourism and the popularization of Buddhism,bring both opportunities and challenges to the development of China's Buddhist culture and Buddhist Garden.The sacred and secular nature of Buddhist culture requires that the landscape design should be scientific and rational,in order to reach the purpose of inheriting Chinese culture,protecting the ecological environment and promoting the all-round development of social economy and culture.First of all,based on investigating the evolution of Buddhism in China,I did research both on the Buddhist activities and the formation of Buddhist Gardens to comb the developed context of Chinese Buddhist Garden and to put forward the concept of Buddhist cultural space.Secondly,from direction of the control effect of axis,I want to solve the problem of the generation and organization of landscape space.Based on the analysis of a large number of traditional Buddhist Garden,I will conclude the elements,characteristics and types of axis of Chinese Buddhist Garden,together with exploring the development and innovation in the aspects of plane,space,function and variation.This paper combines theoretical research,field investigation,graphic analysis and case summary,based on the document collection of Chinese Buddhist Garden and landscape design of axis,using modern graphic language,to concretely analyze the elements and characteristics of Chinese Buddhist cultural space and summarize basic types and design patterns.This paper consists of four parts:The first part discusses the Buddhist cultural resources,Buddhist cultural space and landscape axis,which clear the object and purpose of the study.The second chapter analyzes the historical development of Buddhist cultural space,the composition of people in the garden space and their activity experience and perception,summarizes the types and space layout of existing Buddhist Garden.The third chapter starting with elements,characteristics,space structure,landscape line and the variation of the axis,combined with a large number of case study,sums up different types of the axis of Buddhist cultural space.The fourth chapter summarizes the basic axis design patterns of Buddhist cultural space.The results of the research will be applied to Nanjing Lishui Donglu Mountain Guanyin Temple Landscape Design,and put into practice and feedback.From the research,this paper concludes that,at the macro level,the control effect of Buddhist Garden axis can make reasonable arrangements for natural resources and artificial landscape,at the micro level,it can create a positive Buddhist culture space.The scientific and reasonable design patterns of Buddhist garden axis have a meaningful guiding significance for Buddhist gardens' construction.
