The Jiangnan rural area has been effect by the culture of imperial examination and “Fengshui”.The faction of gateway and family status is the most important to the people.The closed inner court style house is popular Jiangnan.The architecture style,building structure,and its culture has very research value.People created the living space in simple ecological view and natural principle.The vernacular architecture in Jiangnan is most basically and simply architecture.Especially the vernacular dwelling,it's appeared in the early age,and has greatest number.And in many villages,the vernacular dwelling and door has deeply connection with“Fenshui” theory.Also the door has the determinate action in study the vernacular dwelling and “Fenshui” culture.Some of these theory is scientific.The paper was divided into four chapters:Chapter 1,define the research background and objects,and basically foundation with the relevant theoretical achievements of domestic and foreign.Chapter 2,describe the theory of “Fengshui”,and corresponding relationship with the residential construction,the location and orientation of door.Chapter 3,laborate the Xinye village systemically.Analysis the background of culture and economic,site selection,project planning,and the connection between public building,vernacular dwelling construction,doors and “Fengshui”,summarize and analysis the doors of various architecture.Chapter 4,data quantization,research the differential architecture example in scientific and natural angle,analysis the location and orientation of door use in different method of “Fenshui”.
