Research On Comparative Analysis Of The Multi-mode Travel Behavior Using The Structural Equation Model

Besides the common traffic modes of travelers such as bus,subway,taxi and public bicycle,online hailed car as a new means of transport appeared in recent years.This made the choice of travel mode various.Residents will choose appropriate mode of traffic into this system according to their demand and preferences.In this progress,traveler's choice will be affected by personal attributes,travel features,transportation features,and potential psychological factors.Different travel mode has discrepancy in Service characteristics.For example,travel preference and the service of travel mode are latent factor which can not measure directly.It is worthy to study and researchers pay close attention to these latent factors.In this paper,firstly,the author collected travelers travel behavior data of taking the bus,subway,taxi and the online hailed car through using Revealed Preference survey method.The contents of the survey mainly includes personal travel characteristics,convenience,reliability,comfort,economy,security aspects.Secondly,the author established the measurement model respectively,which composed of observation variables and potential variables(reliability,comfort,convenience,economy and safety),to verify conformity between the acquired data and the theoretical model.Finally,the author established the structural equation model which describe how the traveler's personal travel characteristics and travel and other potential variables of perception affect the travel satisfaction of one of four kinds of travel.The results show that,the economy and convenience have a significant impact on the satisfaction of taking the bus.The reliability and comfort affect the satisfaction of taking the subway.The comfort and convenience have a significant impact on the satisfaction of taking the taxi.The reliability,comfort and convenience have a significant influence on the satisfaction of taking the online hailed car.It can be seen that it is significant to analyze the influence of various factors on the choice of urban residents' travel mode because it can help navigation software to guide the urban residents to choose capable public transport system so that the use of other resources can be reasonable and improve the urban public transport sharing rate.Is important to plan the urban public transportation and construct the information service environment,and to improve urban public transport service quality.
