The origin of the old-age problem is inextricably linked to the increase in the elderly population.As of the end of 2016,China's population of about 13697600 people,of which over the age of 60 there are 229 million people,accounting for 16.6% of the total population,compared to 2000 60-year-old elderly 126 million,accounting for 10.02% of the total population,Its net increase of 6.58 percentage points,this data has far exceeded the international community aging standards,is expected to 2025,China's elderly over 60 years old about 300 million,when China will become the ultra-old countries.Therefore,the aging of the population has become an important problem that the society needs to solve.As the domestic pension apartment market is still in the exploratory stage,many developers have not formed a clear concept of pension apartments,blind pursuit of luxury facilities,large-scale,while ignoring the actual needs of the elderly pension,especially in the elderly living space refined,suitable for aging design aspect.Therefore,to strengthen the design of space habitation,to meet the basic needs of the elderly,to meet the living habits of the elderly living space is essential.Firstly,this paper summarizes the development of foreign apartments and the characteristics of space design in foreign countries,and compares and analyzes the shortcomings of the design of domestic apartments for the aged,draws on and draws on the outstanding practical achievements of the existing apartments in space design Experience,summed up the elderly apartment fitness space design should be combined with the elderly psychological,physiological and behavioral patterns,and put forward the basic principles of the design of the elderly apartment space.Through the research on the spatial function and scale of the living room,bedroom,bathroom and balcony of the interior space corridor,the hall and the apartment,it is proposed that the space design should meet the most basic layout and function requirements.But also through the outdoor barrier design,fitness space,human design,green landscape rehabilitation and landscape design,proposed outdoor space design should meet the safety of the elderly,health and comfort needs.And finally put forward the development trend of the design of the elderly apartment to the intelligent design direction.In this paper,we use the research methods of the relevant disciplines and the actual research,and try to make a comprehensive analysis of the residential design of the old apartment buildings by comparing and analyzing the field research of the existing old apartments in Beijing and Xi'an,For the elderly apartment room function layout and scale design to provide a theoretical basis for the elderly can be in the indoor health and comfortable life.But also for the future design of the elderly apartment space to provide the necessary design methods for later reference.
