Along with the development of internet,the lifestyle,group identity and values of new generation,i.e.the generation after 80 s and 90 s,possess characteristics of the age;therefore,their requirements about love tokens change over time.As the development of era,the keepsakes are increasingly diversifying on form,function and variety.They gradually transform from simply requirement-satisfying and service-oriented ones to experiencing ones which focus on spiritual needs.People's requirements on the products are not only function-satisfying,but also deeper emotional requirement to participating,experiencing and creating.Although there are many studies on couples and numerous keepsakes for couples in the market,little research focuses on emotional experience design of keepsake and applies itself to the reality.This paper aims at exploring keepsake's transition from functional type to experiencing one in the information age and solving the issue that the traditional keepsake only stays at functional aspect and fails to pay attention to the deep emotional needs of couples.Starting from the nature of the issue and by means of investigating and excavating couple's emotional needs,the paper discovers love tokens that conform to the characteristics of the time and satisfy the 80 s and 90 s couples' emotional needs.By producing interaction between keepsake and couple and obtaining terrific emotional experiences,keepsake will serve well as the carrier of emotion between couple.The paper mainly adopts literature research method,market research method,design methodology and so on to conduct the research.Based on the purpose and problem,and from the perspectives of couple users,keepsakes and participatory experience design,the paper explores the designing orientation of keepsake by way of related literature theory and theoretical framework of the relevant products' development.The research result turns out that the new generation couples pursue spiritual needs and lay emphasis on emotional experiences,and that products which are more in accord with modern lifestyle should be generated due to the deficiency of emotional connotation in traditional keepsake products.Based on the results of the study to produce innovative design concept,pledge of seriation experience product design to form a new way of life.Each kind of products,from product design to use into the emotional needs,arousing couple's sense,mentality and emotion to make them have nice emotional experiences,intrinsic value can be elevated.As the carrier of emotional experience,keepsake can intensify couple's emotional needs via designing from sense,function and meaning,transform needs into actual product,and fully take couple's behavior and emotion during product experiences and later-on use into consideration.
