The Research On Design And Optimization Of Nighttime Public Space Of University Campus In Guangzhou Area

During the night hours,the university campus is highly used.Except for the classes and scientific research activities,at night,teachers and students in the campus have many kinds of communication and recreational activities.The university campus environment in the nighttime is an organic part of the campus environment.However,because of the lack of attention to the construction of nighttime school environment,the demand for nighttime activities cannot be met.The university campus lost its vitality and decreased the frequency of the usage of the space during the night.It weakens the academic atmosphere and cultural taste of the whole campus,and its environmental education.In view of this,the author will focus on the university campus environment at nighttime.The scope of the study will be limited to the campus public space.From the point of view of human and environment with research and analysis of present situation,this paper provides some strategies and suggestions for the design and optimization of nighttime campus public space.In this paper,the author firstly defines the concept of structure and function of campus public space.The research directions are determined in terms of campus spatial function,form and user behavior,psychological,activities,needs in the nighttime in campus.Through the method of questionnaire,the status quo of Guangzhou area universities to research about users' psychological and behavior characteristics and the present situation of the campus at nighttime,and summarizes the existing problems.Subsequently,the paper proposes two methods,environmental factor design and light environment design,and six principles,integrity,security,identifiability,humanization,diversity,cultural,to design and optimize the campus public space in nighttime.On this basis,the paper puts forward concrete design and optimization methods for campus night image,campus building,campus square,campus road,hoping to provide a reference for the design and optimization of nighttime campus public space in the future.
