The steel and polyurethane composite shear wall is composite shear wall with new form of structure.The Phenomenon of producing buckling wave can be improved by polyurethane core.The two materials of steel plates and polyurethane complement each other.In this paper,steel and polyurethane composite shear wall connected with two-side connections and ordinary steel plate shear wall were compared and the static behaviors and hysteretic behaviors of the new shear wall are systematically studied.The primary work and remarks of this paper are as follows:1.By the finite element analysis software ANSYS,new shell wall and the ordinary steel plate shear wall was established.The seismic behavior of the two under cyclic loading is calculated and compared.The result shows that,the ultimate bearing capacity and the energy dissipating capacity of the new shear wall are higher,the speed of stiffness deterioration of the new shear wall was slower.The seismic behavior of the new shear wall is better.2.To analyze the factors such as different Young's modulus radio of steel panel and polyurethane core,thickness of polyurethane core,thickness of the steel panel and span-depth ratio to affect the shear resistance static behaviors of the new shear wall under monotonic loading.The results show that Young's modulus radio of new shear wall is suitable for less than 103 and the steel plate is the main bearing member.The greater the thickness of new steel plate and span-depth ratio was,the better the shear resistance static behaviors of the shear wall was.3.To analyze the factors such as thickness of polyurethane core,thickness of the steel panel and span-depth ratio to affect the seismic behavior of the new shear wall,a series of analyses are executed.The result shows that,the thickness of polyurethane should be taken as 25 mm properly and with the thickness of steel panel and span-depth ratio increases,the seismic performance of the new shear wall is better.4.The formulas of yield load and initial stiffness of the new shear wall was proposed and the result of formulas and finite element analysis is similar.The paper also introduces the simplified model and design method of new shear wall briefly which can provide reference for the designers.
